2000 00 VW Volkswagen Beetle Remote Flip Key Keyless Entry FOB Transmiter - REMOTE #: HLO 1J0 959 753 F

Wasted $$$ - the online instructions only program the remote (lock/unlock) you must have a locksmith or dealer program the key in order for it to work in the ignition. The biggest locksmith in town said they can only cut keys not program them - the Volkswagen dealer said they will only program keys that are purchased from them...for approx. $200 per key/fob.

The key is complete with everything you need to use it however unless you know someone, other than a VW dealer who will cut it, it will be useless. I took this key to a VW dealer to have it cut for my 2000 volkswagen and they refused stating it would "damage their machine" and I cannot return it.

The key works well with VW and looks like the original equipment it is sturdy and seems to be a durable replacement
