Great guide for weight control
Follow-up to the original, Rice Diet book. This book is as good as its predecessor and offers easy to follow plans to achieve weight loss.

sensible and easy to understand - eat good carbs and loose wgt
I've been doing high protein low carb off and on forever and it never really clicked with me - so I decided to try something I have not tried before - and honestly I have tried ALL of them. I am a food addict/compulsive overeater so really I always overate meat and fat on the low carb diets - but the rice diet program actually keeps a person feeling full and not wildly craving MORE of anything once you get past 3 days. I'm not perfect but I do have hope and have been able to stick with this plan (80%) of the time in the last month. It has been saving people's lives since 1939. Please read The Diary of a Carb Queen to give you the incentive that you need to try "just one more way of eating" before you decide that you can't stick to any "diet".

Need to read the others first
I think this is a good book if you have read theoriginal diet as it does not go into a lot of detailabout the diet, but it does cover all the aspects oftrying to lose weight. I really watch my sodium aftergoing through this book and it does help lower myappetite and with out caffeine I do sleep better.It seems like a good diet as it lets you have bread,lots of fruit and veggies, but very little meat.I think it is a diet someone could stick to for a longtime.

Not a fad diet
The name implies a fad diet, but this is basically a low fat, vegetarian style diet. I stayed on this diet for one month and lost 25 pounds, but had to stop and go back to a low carb diet due to my diabetes. Just couldn't handle the high carbs. However, I wasn't hungry!

Highly Recommended!!
I love this book, but if you want info on the Rice Diet you should buy The Rice Diet Solution book first. This book walks you through deeper issues of what makes us over eat. Great book for food addicts.
