Middle Level SSAT: 1000+ Practice Questions

Purchased this book to assist my 10-year-old with her middle level SSAT required for a school. The book was excellent and helped her understand how to solve both the math and verbal problems with higher success from guides first test to the second. However, when I asked her if the study guide helped her with the ACTUAL test, she said the guide didn't cover much of what was on the test and that the real test was harder - for math only. Now I know it was 2020 and maybe they changed the test to take into account the deficiency we all faced with learning and that is no fault to this book, but wanted to pass this info on.

This book offers a lot of questions (it's right there in the title!), but is thin on teaching strategy. We found a better prep book that offered more tips and tricks, and will be returning to this book after we've reviewed them. Four stars because the author isolates the Middle School SSAT into its own book, and doesn't try to combine the ISEE or Upper Level SSAT into the same book.

Tons of practice questions for the test. Really useful. The answers are all in the back of the book. I haven't looked up the explanations online. I used this with one of my 8th graders last month. We're buying these for all of our 8th graders this fall.

This is perhaps the best test prep book we came across to help my child prepare for SSAT (we also bought the one from Momextrix -- NO, and Newston Test Prep -- BIG HUGE NO, please see my reviews on these two other books before purchasing).This book is full of test-taking tip, review, and QUESTIONS!! Numerous questions for practice and reviews with various level of difficulties that mimic the actual test. If you need one book to prep for SSAT, just get this one.

This, along with their other book, was recommended by a friend for my nephews who need a little extra work to prepare for exams. I have reviewed it and it is filled with, what I think are challenging practice questions along with the answers in the back. I guess we will know more soon. Books arrived very quickly also, so that was a plus.

This book has a ton of problems to practice with, and the explanations are super helpful!

Bought it for my daughter. She greatly improved in the simulated tests after completing this book

Best SSAT book we uses

Large number of exercises for students who are preparing for SSAT middle level test. A minor drawback is that some analogy questions are hard to understand.

My friend has one of this book for her Grade7 kid. So I brought it. We did a little right now. Not sure right now.
