Strong magnets, decent price .. almost too strong
Nice magnets, good length of rope and very helpful having gloves as you will most certainly pull up rusty items.Couple things to note:1. Small items or odd shapes will be difficult to get unless they are directly below, dragging on the bottom for any kind of distance will most likely lose the item.2. If you have a very large item or something with large surface and too heavy or anchored somehow you wont be able to get it up or your magnet back.Fun to throw around and see what kind of things you'll pull up, but don't get hopes up.

Nice magnets, iffy ropes
Max Magnets Fishing Magnet Kit, 2 Ropes with Twist Locking Carabiner + 2 Eyebolt Fishing Magnets 300I would have given this set a 5 rating if the ropes had been better. As is, a good solid 4.I really like the magnets and the carabiners. They look and feel like they are well made and will do the job. The ropes are decent, but not finished well. They are a nice bright orange so that they are visible, but the orange outside is not well made and the pieces of the rope inside are coming out in several places. This at least gives the impression of a weakness in the rope.

VERIFIED to be 300-pound
The media could not be loaded. I did a "scientific" study, described in the 2:15-minute video. Some might question why I say the mass we pull against in a test must be greater than the 300-pound rating of the magnet. Think about it, you can't expect to need 300 pounds of force to pull a paperclip off these magnets because that is not using up the Flux/Field of the magnet. Also, I say we cannot even have Paint between the magnet and metal. Magnetic force quadruples for each given distance, so even the 0.001 inch of a paint layer has a significant effect.

Good Product, Good Fun
Good sturdy product! Came with thread locker... which I didn't know where it went. As a result, I lost a magnet on our first trip out. Plenty of rope allowed for us to drag bottom on some decent sized lakes. Kiddos enjoy, even when they only pull in iron heavy rocks. Might recommend a double sided magnet, though.

Just remember to tie the rope on your wrist or your
Only thing wrong with the rope it starts to fray but other than that got a lot of stuff with the magnet already throw it in the water and come up with magnetic rocks butter knife we got out of the water my daughter and I we're going to try some other areas only got black sand stuck to the magnet also so the magnets are really nice

Not bad but would prefer bigger!
They're not very big. Not sure what I expected but we had fun with them until the one came unscrewed from the base & I lost it. I had checked the carabiner to make sure it was tight but not the magnet.
