ingenious design
This is a really excellent product. It comes with two brackets of different sizes. I have one on my 10.9" iPad Air and one on an old iPad that I just use to read in bed. The rig is well made, and after one year of heavy use I have not had any problems with the holder.I tried an elastic strap, but it felt awkward and didn't rotate. My only suggestion would be to make the handhold more oval in shape. My large hand gets a little tired if holding the round handle for long periods. But the swivel feature and the adjustable-angle stand feature is great, and the fact that you get two brackets and one interchangeable handhold is wonderful.

Versatile and good quality
i like that the tablet is sturdy enough for holding samsung ultra 8 so that i can do 1 arm operation(can hold maybe 10 minutes because weight of the tablet). Also good for 8 inch tablet. My version is tab active 2 water resistant version. Although it appear not fully grip because of the water resistant case(shown in picture). It actually did hold firm the tablet. Very satisfied wih the quality. I never intended to.use this for.stand because I am affraid it maybe become loose overtime. One thing I hope.probably a softer grip for arm comfort.

Surprisingly versatile and useful!
This is the best option I've been able to find for my iPad pro to hold it securely without fear of a drop, as well as provide many options for how to hold/articulate it with my hand(s) or put it on a surface. I can sit in bed or on the couch with the ring over my knee in portrait mode, and it's very stable for both swiping and typing. Surprisingly so. The base of the tablet rests on the front of the leg right above the knee joint (well, it's actually below if you are sitting), and it's very sturdy. The only negative I have found is that the "click" rotation has loosened after only a week of use, which is a little disappointing. The price is good, especially given the fact that you get two different size brackets. But it would be nice if they sold just the rotating part by itself so you could have an extra and even be able to use both brackets instead of having one sit in a drawer. But overall, I'm more impressed with this than most gadgets I buy. Like I said, I just wish the click mechanism would stay solid. That was a nice feel, so with the weakening, the whole product just feels less sturdy. My only other wish is that this had a deeper option on the brackets so you could opt to use it with the common covers for pros that are not removable and just flip around like a book. To use this bracket, I had to take my case off and leave my pro unprotected, which isn't ideal. I did order another kind of case with a removable face cover, so we'll see how that goes. But the fact that I ordered a different caee, and will shelve the nice case I had been using, is a testament to the usefulness of this product. Again, I just haven't seen or found anything quite like this out there. Thumbs up over all!

The design/ concept is great
This item is a great concept and I give it a 5. The rotating stand is good, but where the stand is to be place at an angle for table or easily held is not good . Both have failed where the tilt mechanism works . After gentle use it stills fails. A very week designed flaw. Because of the weak flaw can only give it 1

Durability is trash
I love this for being able to take on and off. It works great when in use. But God forbid you drop it or bump it in any way. It breaks if you look at it the wrong way. I’ve bought it twice and they’ve both broken. The second one I broke I was able to “fix” the tab with some Lexel and that worked until the next time I dropped it and broke off a different tab. I “dropped” it from about 18” in height. The other thing is that it comes in pairs and you can’t just buy the one that fits so now I have 2 grips that don’t fit anything I own and 0 that do. I’m moving on from this and will not be buying again

Great until the hinge breaks
With enough use, this will break. Don’t waste your money unless they redesign the hinge/“tongue”. Read on for more details.I’ve purchased 2 of these Max Smart Tablet Holder/Stands. Both failed at the hinge/“tongue”. I had hoped the first one was just a dud but after looking over the pieces from both it is clearly a design problem. The hinge is nice and tight, giving it great stability while allowing for very personalised adjustments to the handle angle. This is also where the problem is. It puts a lot of pressure on plastic “tongue” connecting the handle to the rotating head. This plastic tongue is the flaw. Repeated use (angle changes) slowly breaks the tongue and splits it into pieces, destroys the plastic holes for the screws, and/or just breaks off. There needs to be an internal metal piece running from the rotating head to the screw holes on the hinge to reduce the pressure on the plastic tongue. I pulled the pieces apart to see if I could MacGyver something after the fact or if I had a brand new one but I could not find a solution.

This item is a MUST HAVE if you want to hold your iPad or tablet comfortably without a desk
I have the Apple Magic Keyboard (case) for the iPad pro and this item, and this is IMMENSELY more useful to versatilely hold the iPad. The Magic Keyboard, and Keyboard Folio are both great for typing, but when you actually want to just use the iPad as a screen and don't want it at a pre-determined height, viewing angle, or when you don't have a desk or flat area around - this item is perfect. The ring can be rotated 90 degrees and locks in place so you can stand it up on any side comfortably, the footprint of the stand is small so if you need to stand it up it doesn't take up a lot of room, it comes with an attachment for a small or large screen device (I have the 5th Gen 12.9" iPad Pro which uses the big attachment), and the attachment itself is very low profile and has a very strong grip. If you don't want to hold it by gripping the ring you can grip it by the edge of the ring and still have a very comfortable grip and be confident that the device wont fail or drop your iPad.I really can't say enough how good this is, so I would just say, if you find the iPad is tough to make comfortable to hold and don't want a screen protector that weighs too much or takes up too much space - this is really the item for you. If mine ever breaks I am 100% buying another one of these.
