Bar HarborLobster Bisque, 10.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

My favorite lobster place closed and my new favorite is 45 min away so this canned lobster bisque tides me over. If you can’t find it in the grocery here’s an online source. Tastier if you add 1/2 a soup can of cream before heating. Has tiny bits of shredded lobster, very flavorful.

There are so many things wrong with this product:1. The flavor is awful. It's watery with no cream. Where's the lobster meat? There are black chunks that aren't accounted for elsewhere on the ingredients list unless something was burnt or flaking off of the machinery. What kinds of lobster have black meat?2. HIDING SUGAR: With two sources of sugar in the ingredient list, "Evap. Cane Juice" and "Sugar" in the "Seasoned Salt," they're clearly engaging in ingredient-list gaming to make it look like there's less sugar than there actually is.3. The can says, "for a lighter taste, add cream or milk" so they suggest that since they didn't bother with the cream, that you should water it down even more with your own cream or worse, with milk.4. HIDING SALT: With two sources of salt in the ingredient list, "Salt" and "Seasoned Salt," they're clearly engaging in ingredient-list gaming to make it look like there's less salt than there actually is.5. I suppose they had to use a LOT of thickeners like "Wheat Flour" and "Native Tapioca Starch" to make up for the fact that they couldn't expend the time or energy to reduce all of the extra water out of the recipe. With all of the starch and oil, this soup has a terrible feeling in my mouth.Booooo!

Tried one it was ok will try another to see if it was just me.

I love this bisque ! It is thick and it’s not all salty!!I’m glad I ordered two cases of it!! I found it of very good value!! Shall buy again in the future! ❤️.

slightly fishy taste. I added cream and sherry to improve taste. I would also recommend using a blender for smoother taste.

Didn't like taste very thin not creamy enough

Bar Harbor Lobster Bisque is hard to find here so I was very pleased to have it sent via Amazon.

I add a five dollar lobster tail or crawfish tail that they sell at the supermarket. Chop it up after I broil it and add it to the bisque. Excellent quick meal in 10 minutes.

You’re better off to heat up sewer water than order this stuff. I received expired, foul smelling sewer water in a can, not Lobster bisque. Be careful

tasty enough, but smells very fishy when you open the can.
