Caillou: Potty Time (Hand-in-Hand series) Hardcover – Picture Book, July 19, 2010

My son loves watching Caillou every morning, and he has been slow to potty train, so this book and some stickers we ordered have been the key to potty training success! The pages are nice and glossy, which is a fun tactile thing for this age, PLUS when he gets a sticker for going potty, he likes to put it in his Caillou book. And because the pages are glossy, the stickers can be taken off and put back on again. Potty training is tricky; the timing has to be right. This is our third attempt to potty train my youngest son (he has 2 older brothers), but he's finally ready and this system has worked for us.

There are allot of potty books out there but this one is well written in a story mode, not just " I go pee" or "I go poo". It's wrote from the perspective of a toddler/pre-schooler and how they go about their day, and why it's important to use the toilet. If you let them watch Caillou then it's a great start because they'll be familiar with the character. I didn't know that the pages and cover are a plastic/vinyl like material which is AWESOME if they want to sit on the potty with it, you wipe it off with a disinfectant wipe or something and your good to go. Smart thinking, a potty book does go with the kid to the potty and accidents happen so this was a well thought out idea! This is the first book. I am leaving the same review for the second book "Caillou: No More Diapers" as I got them both at the same time. One is about learning to use the toilet, and the second (this one) is more about the continued good reasons to stay dry.

It's good for toddlers that are Caillou lovers. However, we are suppose to be more positive in encouraging potty use and it doesn't do enough to get that 5 stars. Fun book but not very useful for potty training.

This is kind of a weird book from an adult perspective and I laughed out loud the first time I read it, but my 3-year old loves it because it’s relatable so I actually do recommend this to anyone whose kid is about to start, is going through or has just finished potty training.

Great book for teaching beginning of life skills. I'm not a English major, however I read a review about the book not having the right definition or something like that. Give me a break this is a children's book not a Dictionary or Encyclopedia and the person mentioned buy another authors book instead this tells me that the reviewer could be bias. This is a children's book to help with potty training, my grandson loves Caillou and it did help with potty training and that was the reason why I bought this book. He don't need diapers anymore.Thanks for reading. Reviews help consumers.

I was letting my son let me know when he was ready to potty train. He would sit on the potty here and there but not regularly.I bought this book for him and it was our "potty time book". Every time he went into the bathroom we would read Caillou. It took my son a few DAYS before he was potty trained. I got so lucky with him! No bed time issues or anything. My oldest son (age7) still struggles with that.We just love this little guy. My son wanted to ride a big boy bike just like Caillou's, which also helped the potty training along!!

If you're buying this book, I'm sure you know who Caillou is, a whiny little kid. Unfortunately this wasn't my buy, my wife purchased it. I don't think it actually helped. To be honest, I'm pretty sure no books really help, you just have to use your old noggin and get your kid potty trained.

Book came in a timely manner and my son loves this book. We read it twice a day! the pages are smooth and colorful and the story is written like you're narrating Caillou's cartoon. I really like that it explains how Caillou wears underwear instead of diapers after receiving his new potty, has a peepee accident and then poohs in the potty! Overall it's a great book and being that my 2-1/2 y.o. son loves watching Caillou, I'll definitely be purchasing the other Caillou books in the collection.

I received this book and my 2 yr old was over the moon when he saw it.We sat down and read the story then he proceeded to run to HIS potty and do his thing.These Calliou books really influence the child and I like that so far they are all good examples.I highly recommend this book to all parents training your LO to go potty.

This lovely vely book with nice pictures helped me a lot with potty training my daughter. She was 33 months old when i received that book and immediately wanted to go on potty and didn't want to wear any diaper anymore. It went very fast and she got completely potty trained in 1 month. She is not the biggest fan of Caillou, but this book was a hit for us. I surely would recommend it.
