NovelNoise 16GB Slim Mp3 Player - HD Video Mp4 Player (Stainless Steel Chrome Silver)

I thought I would love this player for listening to my audiobooks. It works great in the car with an auxiliary and sound is great. Unfortunately I am noticing the back cover keeps randomly coming off after owning it for only a few months. Also, just to let buyers know, if you quit an audiobook story, it will not keep your place if it shuts down. You are also not able to lock the keys so if you stick it in your pocket or wherever, it might skip ahead or shut off or whatever so its really awful to have to scan your story trying to find where you left off. If it had a lock feature and perhaps a return feature it would be a lot nicer. Maybe I am not aware of these features if it has them so if anyone knows a way, please let me know.

This player is awesome! Easy to navigate controls, great sound quality, lots of different ways to sort and access music files, and supports several different audio file types, making it so versatile! The actual dimensions of the player are 3 and 3/4 inches tall and 1 and 1/2 inches wide, (not sure about why they differ so much from those shown in the description) which really seems like the perfect size for me. The screen size is 1 and 1/8 inch wide and 1 and 1/2 inches tall. Fits comfortably in hand and feels durable. Buttons are large, and easy to press, and the navigation is intuitive. There is not a game preloaded on the device and I am not convinced it can support a game file, since there isn't anything about it in the manual - however I am not all that tech-savvy and I will be asking my cousin, who works on computers about this, but it isn't a big deal if it can't, after all I got if for music. The e-book function is useful, though if you are used to e-book formatting on tablets you might be disappointed, as it is a very simple almost crude format but very legible (supports txt files) - I am quite pleased with it though. Also pretty decent photo viewing, though you lose some of the color in the photo on the screen from what you would see on, say, a PC monitor, but the image is fairly sharp, so, for what it is - who can complain? I also really like the voice recording feature. I don't know where the microphone is on the player, but wherever it is it picks up sound pretty well. The earbuds work well - I personally hate using earbuds because they always make my ears hurt and I don't like the sound they give off versus on-ear headphones so I tried it with my old on-ear headphones and like the sound best with this, but if you like earbuds, I am sure you will like these because they seem to have good sound and of course are very portable. If you are looking for a good case for this product, I found an IKEA case made for iphones and ipods and other apple devices or for mp3 players, that was the perfect size. It is called the IKEA carry case sports pouch. I would say the manual is not written the best, however, most of the player's functions are easy to figure out without the manual. One thing to note, if you are planning on adding songs from CD albums, is that under "Albums" it will not list them by track number but alphabetically, by song title. This could be annoying if you like to hear songs in the original order: but there is a way around this - just make sure you move the whole album file onto your player, so it will appear in your "File" section as a file with the album title, then you can go into "file" on the main menu to select that file and go into it and play the first track and it will play all the tracks, thereafter, in the correct CD order. That's what I mean about the song sorting being versatile. You can also listen to tracks by genre, artist, and playlists, or by all songs - which is where you will find the shuffle function. The player looks just like the picture also, which is not always the case, when ordering products online. The radio works pretty well too - though not something I'll use much. I have not yet tried the video function. Overall, I am very happy with it, and think it is a great value for the money - I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a versatile player for a lower price - it definitely doesn't seem to be cheaply made, but rather seems to be a quality product.

I ONLY PAID $39.99 FOR THE ITEM AND RETURNED THE ITEM THE SAME DAY IT MUST HAVE BEEN ON A MAJOR SELL ITS NOW $199 I GAVE THE ITEM A 1 STAR RATING AND AFTER I WAS CONTACTED FROM SELLER I AGREED TO CHANGE IT TO A NEUTRAL RATING AFTER MY REFUND. I HAVE RECEIVED MY REFUND SO I HAVE UPDATED MY RATING FROM I HATE IT TO I DONT LIKE IT

Good sound. Excellent battery life. I rarely have to charge my unit. Battery lasts much longer than those in a SanDisk music player. Solid feel but maybe a little heavy for jogging. Good earbuds. Earbuds better than the basic buds that come with other players. FM radio is good. FM radio is more clear sounding and has better reception than the radio in my SanDisk player. I took away a star because the instruction manual is ridiculously confusing. Typical Chinese into English translation without asking a native English speaker to check the translation. Also my unit makes a split second digital clunk sound when I play the first song after turning it on. It sounds like someone tapping a microphone. The sound does not occur again on later songs so it is not a big deal.

This is a great little player at a great price.

Did not operate properly for me. Returned to vendor for credit.

Battery last days

It was exactly as described. Plus, it features time/date,volume limiter(user adjustable) and feels solid in yourhand. And don't forget the 90hr.run time, of course!!This one definitely beats the competition in value!
