Sasquatch Trials
I hate shaving. It feels like a chore. Probably because my leg hairs are thick and coarse and my pore size is large so even when I shave it looks like I haven't. And then of course if I get goosebumps right after shaving I have stubble. Immediately. So I guess I'm up for trying anything new. When Gillette send me the Gillette Venus Embrace razor for free to try (Thank you Gillette!!), I was still skeptical. In fact, I didn't take the razor out of its packaging for a few weeks.I let my hair grow for a full week to give this razor a true testing (Zoom in on the picture...crazy, right?? There's a before and after shave.) We're calling them the Sasquatch Trials. Here are the pros and cons...Pros:- Exceptionally smooth shave (seriously, I mean it!! Like WOW!)...better than the other brand of razor, which I've been using for years- Hugs/navigates tricky corners like ankles, knee caps and strong ligaments behind the knees; not one knick!!- Didn't even feel like I was shaving, felt like I was running a soft plastic piece over my skin to collect Gillette Violet Swirl shave gel...had to check my legs several times wondering "is this thing working? Is it collecting cut hair??" Yes...yes it was...stealthily.- My shave lasted two solid days; the third day was passable, the fourth day required capris and a new shave in the evening- Absolutely no pulling felt with first shave- Can get multiple shaves from one razor (though felt second shave more than first)- Handle was comfortable, non-slip grip (important in showers)- I did not feel the head was too large, it was just rightCons:- This is the only one and it's a big one for me: pricepoint. A 6-pack of heads cost $24 at my Wal-Mart. That's $4 a head. If I thought these Gillette Venus Embrace razors were a NEED then I could justify the price. For right now they are a WANT. I can get the other brand for 40-50% less.I did not take off a star for the pricepoint. Cost doesn't change the quality of the product, simply the odds it will get purchased. If I had a stronger income, I'd totally put forth the money to buy these razors.UPDATE: After reading reviews about people using their blade for several weeks, I thought I'd give it a try...still using the same blade from this original review...it's now Sept 3rd. Same blade! And it still cuts beautifully! I've changed my mind...these are TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE! I'm a converted woman! In fact...I just bought the same pack of 6 refill cartridges I mentioned in my review...today...happily. (And I'll do it again!)

Good product
Shaves very well, doesn’t cut skin easily, although it is a little flimsy.

Very Sensitive on Skin
I enjoy using these razors. They are very gentle on my skin and never leave me with cuts or shaver irritation. I would definitely recommend these razors.

So nifty!
Conveniently small with long lasting blades, super effective at keeping the stubble away for longer. This five bladed miracle is so easy to pop into your travel bag (I cover the blades with a silicone cover rather than the bulky plastic travel case it comes with ( I mean the item takes up 4 times as much space inside the silly container they give you, how ridiculous is that!). But love the tiny razor, its easy to use (and not drop in the shower) because of a very smart handle design.

Super smooth and worth the investment
I purchased this after reading reviews on various sites when trying to decide on a razor. I've been using cheap disposables for years, and wanted to go back to something better and more comfortable. I was still skeptical that spending money on a razor like this would be worth it, and that it wouldn't give me 5x the chance of nicks with all those 5 blades or get into the tricky areas with a head the size needed to accommodate all of those blades.I was totally wrong in my doubt! This is the smoothest, most comfortable shave I have ever experienced. It doesn't even feel like shaving. It glided so effortlessly I wondered at first if it was even doing anything. It got everything in one pass. There was no going over and over previously shaved areas to get the stragglers. The head moves and adjusts to your shaving angle, which allows it to glide along with little effort on your part. I had no problem with the difficult curvy areas like armpits, knees, and the bikini region. The handle has a nice comfortable rubber grip and doesn't slip out of your hands. The blade heads snap easily on and off.The only trouble I had was with the holder. My bathroom tile is not smooth and prevents the suction cup from getting a firm grip. It eventually falls down. It might hold fine on smooth tile. I don't know. My tile has always been suction cup averse.I took the disposable version on a trip, and while it was good, it was not as good as the refillable version. If you're trying to decide between using disposables and this, go with this version. The disposables are quite expensive. I'm not sure how the numbers work out between buying refill blades and buying the disposable, but I can't imagine it would be so different as to not make getting the refillable one worth it.

Too expensive, otherwise a nice product
The product is good, it is just too expensive and not really superior to other options.
