I am sure it is a great product but the fig & wallnut spread arrived in a broken jar. II think for that price the producer should make the packaging safe. Unhappy I am...After my review I've received a message from Sean, Founder of Chateu Rouge. He offered a free replacement which arrived today. Now I know what I could have missed. The fig and wallnuts spread is absolutely divine. Nice organic produced spread, well ballanced taste, a joy with matured cheese. I've long not seen such a customer care. I've even received a free jar of strawberry jam, speachless I am. Small companies make a real difference. Broken jar was not the Chateu Rouge's fault. Even so they tokk full responsibility and tried to please the customer. Thank you. Great product and great service.

Very nice but could be better for the price...1 too thin and not enough thickness, the flavour was there but not like the sharpness of a good blast of fruit I would have expected.2, there was mould starting to grow inside the jar within a week of opening, we bought this produce because we have a diabetic in the house.We have also bought regular sugar free preserves but they didn’t mould over in the first week.

Very nice, for my taste the consistency could be more dense.

The honey is top notch, but the jam, just not to my taste. In jams like these, the seeds really should be removed. Ruins the whole experience.

Beautifully presented and packaged and delicious too with the added benefit of being straight from the hive. No pasteurising or any treatment which is a real plus. I was thinking of giving it as a gift but I want to keep both jars for myself!

I must say the jams are great. Their taste is not artificial like most store bought jams, they really have nice flavours.

Urghhh ! Tasted as if the bees had harvested it from the industrial waste tip on the wrong side of Del Boy's Peckham spring.Peculiar Metallic (Iron), musty, milldewy, car exhaust fume, sillagey taste..One wonders if this Is Amazon doing their usual trick of allowing third party suppliers to dispose of defective or out-of-date product using their good offices ?I sampled the first jar (I bought 2) on two occasions, a couple of months apart, just to make sure I wasn't having a bad pallate day. or the stuff needed to mature . . And, both were horrible ! And taking the lid off the second jar was enough to confirm that that was the same.So both jars headed binwards.If this is the unpasteurised stuff, you can keep it.I'm back to the New Zealand stuff - now that is nectar.By the way, I only gave this one star because the system wouldn't let me post this review with no stars.N
