As of the initial installation of these hinges today, the high pitched squeak of the original door hinges which are 10 years old is gone. Original hinges were supplied with the pre-hung door when new. It was an expensive door with cheap hinges.The installation went easy. These replacement hinges were a perfect match with the 10 year old ones. The corners of the hinges had the same radius so no trimming or filling of the door or frame to make the new ones fit. The screw pattern was also the same which was a must in my mind. It the screw pattern varied I would have sent them back. If you purchase replacement hinges make sure the fit of the new hinge is a match to what's being replaced or you will just be asking for new problems.New hinge design: The new hinge has what looks like nylon bushings for the hinge pin to insert into and for the two halves of the hinges to ride on. Our doors are solid core, thus heavy. Only time will tell if the nylon bushings hold up to the everyday use of a heavy door. Initially the door swings smoothly with no squeak. I assume the black powder that also collects near the hinge pin onto the door frame will also be an issue of the past.If these hinges fail to operate at some point in the future, I will amend this review to let you know how long they held up. If there is no follow up, you can assume that all is working well.FYI, an alternative to these hinges would be ball bearing hinges which should also stop the squeak but, as of this initial review date, sell for approximately twice the price for a set of three.

I installed 60 new hinges after new paint and 2 months later a dozen are starting to squeak and make noises. So I am replacing all the frequently used ones with these no squeak type.So far no sounds at all.

Installed these about 3 months ago now and the doors haven't squeaked once yet.

Everyone told me they would not work and expect them to squeak. Here we are 6 months later, and they are still squeak free. These have been a life saver with working from home and not having the doors squeaking throughout the house. I highly recommend these hinges and I promise to update this review if they start squeaking in the future. Standard hinge installation. After a year of squeaking bath hinges, my wife was adamant about getting the noise fixed. Installed these hinges, one at a time, do not over tighten screws provided. Door is now quiet as a mouse!

These were so easy to use and install. I used a coin to determine the corner size of hinge that I needed. Once they arrived, I unscrewed my middle hinge, then installed the squeak proof hinge in the middle first. Easy. Then I removed the top hinge and installed the next squeak proof hinge. Last, I removed the old bottom hinge and installed the squeak proof hinge. I didn’t have to take my whole door off. I didn’t need any help. The hinges look amazing—really beautiful high quality finish. They do NOT squeak which is perfect for my office. (I’d been working late some nights and when I closed my office door for the night, it was waking up my toddler.)This was so easy I’m looking forward to my next set to arrive so I can do the rest of the doors in the house!

So far, so good. Silent and vey smooth operating.
