Not a bad phone, I had problems with mine but really good after sales service!
At first I was pretty happy with my new phone. Thought it was reasonably priced for a rugged phone, not too bulky (although that is hard to avoid if you want true ruggedness), waterproof and tough, good storage space and a big screen for using. Also had a few apps come with the phone, but was disappointed I couldn't work out how to delete the unwanted ones.A few things that I wasn't a big fan of was it's slower processing time, had a slightly clunky feel about it, and how after it got submerged in water the speakers would still be full of water for about a day before it dried out and I could actually answer phone calls. The battery I haven't given a good rating but at first it was actually pretty good, usually lasting a couple of days before charging if I wasn't using it much. However after 4 months the battery life started dropping hugely and in the end I got a warranty on the phone as the battery was barely charging and dying incredibly fast after 6 months. Before the phone battery went kaput I was having other issues, like apps crashing, my loud speaker not working or it not reading the sim card. So I am unsure if I just got unlucky from the start and the phone had issues off the bat, as I was having some of these issues from day one.The best part however was the service I received, once I finally reached out to Blackview, about the issues. They were super helpful and would email me to check in if I hadn't replied in a week through the communication process. Once it was decided it was going to be a warranty issue I was extremely impressed with how efficient, professional and easy the warranty process was. Its always good to know one will get good service these days, definitely makes me more likely to purchase from Blackview again. So would I buy another blackview? Yeah I think I would. I had heard good things about the phone brand from others and overall the phone did what I wanted (a rugged, yet simple outdoor phone), at a pretty reasonable price in my opinion, although I'd probably buy a newer model or do a bit more research on the different models first.

Horrible Phone.
I bought this phone to have as a backup for a BV9900 Pro, in case I broke it. I did eventually break it and had to use this phone. Now this phone is absolutely horrible. Out of the thousands of dollars of things I purchased in 2023, this is the thing I regret buying most. This phone reminds me of the $20 phones that Cricket used to sell in 2010. It is so slow that you have to be a Zen master to deal with the app or website load times. Its pretty much torture to use this phone and I cannot count the number of times I have restrained myself from throwing this phone against a wall or stomping it to bits. The screen is so dim that you can barely use it outside with sunglasses. The screen also barely responds to clicks and this is ultra irritating because apps regularly take a few seconds to respond to clicks. So this means that if you buy this, you should get used to waiting 3 seconds after you click the screen to see if the phone actually responds or to see if the screen actually detected your finger clicking. Infuriating. The battery is complete trash. Takes 12 hours for a full charge. If you wake up on a Saturday morning and use this phone for 3 hours, the battery will be under 40% and require about 8 hours of charging to get back to full. Also the phone regularly turns itself back on when you turn it off so I recommend keeping the battery saver on constantly and also carrying a charging block. If you have a job that requires you to be available by phone, forget about it. If you travel a lot and need navigation to get around, forget about it. Horrible GPS and the battery dies quicker.I've lost this phone in my house before a flight and tried to call it. Straight to voicemail, over and over. Missed my flight. I eventually found it and it never received any of the calls. Some people cannot call me on this phone no matter how many times they dial.Im posting this from a new BL8800 Pro, which is like a bigger, nicer BV9900 Pro that does 5G. Had a bad customer experience purchasing each of the three Blackviews. If you are thinking of buying this, dont. Save your dollars and buy one of the Blackview FLIR equipped flagship phones instead, but expect bad customer service. The only people I would recommend this to are 1) people switching from a ten year old phone and 2) people switching from a flip phone. One star.
