Passed the gauntlet
I am walking all day on uneven surfaces, mudd, grass, dirt, and whatever is outside. On a average I will walk around 30-40 miles a week for work. Their light weight is appriciated for the long hauls. These supply exceptional traction needed in mud, dirt, grass, and pavement. The sole has outlasted the tread at this point and that is pretty amazing for a shoe in my line of work. I have plantar fasciitis and these have not broken down like other shoes have and I'm impressed. At first they were water resistant so I am now replacing them with the gortex version. Wet grass and mud can soak up your socks making the day a little less comfortable. These have lasted me 8 months, 2 months longer than most of the other shoes I've used. The tread is worn down, the toe box crease is torn, and an adidas stripe is about to fall off.As long as Adidas makes this shoe in will be purchasing it for work. If you are an avid hiker you will not be disappointed. If I were to pick a big out shoe in an area without snow these would be 1st on the list for me.

Good rugged work/hiking sneaker, not as breathable as hoped
I bought 3 pairs of trail running/walking shoes to use as work shoes on my small urban farm. I prefer trail running sneakers for this type of work because they tend to be more breathable, lighter, and easier to slip on/off than work boots. I work 12-14 hrs a day, on my feet 90% of the time, so a light weight shoe is a huge benefit. I don’t use tractors or other motorized equipment on the farm so I’m not particularly worried about buying a shoe to protect my feet from serious injury, making heavy boots overkill most of the time. The 3 shoes I bought were these ASICS Frequent Trail Running shoes, Columbia Fairbanks Low Sneaker, and these Adidas Terrex Ax3. I bought all in size 10.5, which is my normal sneaker size, and I tend to wear size 10 in hiking/work boots. I’ve bought 2 types of Adidas Terrex sneakers in the past - the CC Voyager in size 10.5, which was my absolute favorite shoe (but the most minimal), and the Tracerocker Trail Running shoe, which fit tight in the toe box area to the point where I probably should have returned them to get a size 11.After a week of daily use on the farm, here is how these Ax3 trail running shoes compare to the above mentioned shoes. Much more rugged than the ASICS or Tracerockers, the least breathable compared to all the other shoes, good heavy duty tread, and the best cushioning between the heal and ankle. The toe box is almost too tight, but not nearly as much as the Tracerockers (but my toes really splay out so this might not be a concern for others). Also the poor breathability was kinda a bummer but it’s a bit of a trade off since these are the most “substantial” of all the shoes, making these a great choice for rugged trail hiking, or in my case, work on the farm. They don’t seem to have good arch support, but the sole is thick rubber, making them a good choice for when I’m doing construction and walking around nails/screws. Also there is extra protection around the outside footbed and a decent toecap - while not a composite or steel toe, this heavy rubber outer layer gives an extra bit of safety and I wouldn’t be too worried about dropping a moderately heavy object on my toes while wearing these shoes (think a log/concrete block/wooden post, etc). All in all I’m very happy with these shoes, I just need to swap them out for another pair half way through the day to let my feet breath a bit.

Outstanding Comfort and Grip for Backpacking!
I recently purchased the adidas Men's Terrex Ax3 for my son to use during our backpacking trip, and I couldn’t be happier with how well they performed. These shoes have proven to be an excellent choice for rugged outdoor adventures.First and foremost, the comfort of these shoes is exceptional. My son found them to be incredibly supportive and comfortable right out of the box. The cushioning and fit are perfect for long hikes, providing the right balance of support and flexibility. He mentioned that the shoes felt great even after hours of trekking, with no discomfort or blisters. The grip on these shoes is also impressive. The outsole provides excellent traction on various terrains, from rocky paths to muddy trails. My son felt confident and secure with every step, thanks to the reliable grip that kept him steady and safe throughout the hike.Additionally, the durability and build quality of the Terrex Ax3 are top-notch. They held up well to the rough conditions of the trail and showed no signs of wear and tear. The design is also stylish and functional, making them versatile for both hiking and casual wear.In summary, the adidas Men's Terrex Ax3 are a fantastic investment for anyone looking for comfortable and reliable hiking shoes. My son’s positive experience with their comfort and grip makes them highly recommended for any backpacking or outdoor adventure. Highly recommended for their exceptional performance and quality!

All Day I Dream About S (wait) Adidas… lol
Great shoe. It really compliments what you’re wearing. In my case they go great with my uniform. Even when I wear my polo and khaki uniform. Overall comfort is also a must have. Supports flat feet too. I even added a shine to my tips. Thanks Amazon for carrying a universal shoe like this

Good buy is anything worth what we have to pay now
Love these shoes I had the A4 hiking ones and they just seemed bulky to me where these are slimmer lightweight and comfortable

Quite narrow
Unfortunately, these shoes weren’t a good fit for me. I needed a reliable pair for hiking, but these turned out to be too narrow for my feet. While the quality seems solid—lightweight with a good non-slip sole—they just didn’t work for my needs. If you have narrower feet, they might be a great choice, but for anyone needing a wider fit, these may not be the best option. I’ll be looking for something with a roomier design.
