Nice Bike
Other reviews had complaints about forks being bent. Maybe there was shipping damage or something, but for me it was all fine. I didn't use the instructions as I put together many bikes in my life. Everything went together fine, no issues. It seems like a nice bike for the price. My 9 year old son enjoys it. So far, so good.

Looks great and performs great
The assembly was not very intuitive. Took some figuring, but once it was together, it was awesome. The kid loves it and rides in constantly.

Great bike; awful assembly instructions!
The bike itself seems great so far (we’ve only had it a couple days). However, the assembly instructions are awful! I’ve assembled bike before, but it’s been years! They don’t tell you off the bat what tools you’ll need. Then in the first part of the instructions, deals with attaching the front tire, when in fact the break pads are in the way and have to be loosened first before doing so. Also, I see no difference in the “correct” and “incorrect” images In the booklet.Like I said, we’ve had it a couple days and my 9yr old son just learned to ride a bike. So far he’s only briefly ridden around the house. More than likely, I’ll end up taking it to a bike shop to have it checked out before he does any kind of long ride away from home.

Nice bike
This bike came from Amazon Warehouse. It was supposedly damaged. The only damage was the box it came in. Everything works great. I assembled it in a half hour or so. I was going to cut it up for some bike parts for a bike I'm making... But why cut up a perfectly good new bike? It's now it's going to the grandson for Christmas.

Buy something else or even better goto a store
I bought 2, one new and one "used". The used one was in better shape than the new one. They both had banged up forks, one had a broken reflector. Both bikes has the shifter which was not adjusted properly, the derailer sits in between gears when clicked in any given gear at the handle.Overall bad buy all around.

Price is not worth what was received
This bikes looks good but it comes with problems. I bought it for my sons 8th birthday for his first big boy bike and I was hoping for better results. The box was beaten up pretty good upon delivery and unboxing it we started to notice discrepancies right away. The seat already had a small tear in it first of all, then as we started putting it together the front forks were so bent that it wouldn’t fit over the axle. The bent forks couldn’t just be the result of poor handling during shipment as they aren’t just compressed inwards as if it got smashed, they are also twisted and don’t line up straight which appears to be the result of welding them in the wrong position. I managed to bend them out with a small car jack and then I had to use some big pliers to twist then ends to line up right. Once I finally got the wheel on the forks and gave it a spin I noticed how bent the front rim was.We got the seat and pedals on just fine then we mounted the handle bars and aligned them straight with the front wheel but again due to the poor quality of the forks you can easily see the forks aren’t straight still. I set the handle bars height for best reach then tightened up the brake levers for best comfort. As with any new bike it is expected to need adjustments for the brakes which was easy. The front brake cable comes unconnected to allow easy install of the front wheel but it was easy to setup and adjust. The back brakes didn’t require anything except a small adjustment to tighten up a little more with the set screw. At this point I let my son take it for a test ride and he seemed to really like it so far. I knew the derailleur still needed to be adjusted but that didn’t prevent his first test ride. The upper and lower limits on the derailleur need to be set and there’s not adjustment for the tension. The cable also needs to be adjusted and set screws at both ends. The description mentions easy shift however that is not the case here. When going from 1-7 gears it is easy to shift but trying to go back from 7-1 gears it requires a lot of force to twist the grip shifter. I fought with it for a few hours trying to adjust it in anyway possible to try and loosen up the shifter but no matter what it remains too hard to twist for my son and even for me. When I detach the cable the grip shift is better leading me to believe that’s not the cause. Operating the derailleur with my hand isn’t hard and seems to move as expected but it could possible be a little less tight which again can’t be adjusted. I believe there’s a mismatch between the type of grip twist and derailleur combo that needs to be addressed so he can finally shift back to the easier gears. All in all I paid $150 for the bike and at that price I am disappointed at the results. It is a good looking bike and my son still loves his big boy bike but for lack of knowing any better he is happy with it. If I had to buy this bike again I wouldn’t pay half the price of it due to the amount of effort it required. I would rather go to Walmart and spend my money there then pay the price for this bike again.I will try and buy a new shifter to see if I can make it easier for him to shift and hopefully it doesn’t require a different derailleur as well. I look forward to being able to go on rides with him and hopefully it doesn’t require more wasted time trying to make it easier for him to shift.

Great 1st mountain bike for 7 year old
20” bmx bike was not really working for our 7yo - especially on long bike rides with the family. Got this mountain bike and our son loves it, he can keep up now and pretty good price for the quality. We’re very happy with the purchase
