Sirdar Snuggly DK Double Knitting, Choo Choo Train (419), 50g

Beware colour runs
Beware I have used Sirdar Snuggly for years and never had any complaint. I have even used The flamenco shade before to knit a red and white jumper, with no complaint (made in Romania).. The latest batch of flamenco was made in Turkey and after knitting a white and red stripy jumper for my Grandson we found the colour ran terribly and he now has a pink and white stripy jumper, I will be reading the small print before I use this wool in future. Incidentally the jumper was washed at 30 degrees rather than the 40 the label recommends.

Buy more than you need
Luckily I bought one extra ball; I wasn't sure if three was sufficient and a fourth was discounted so I got a spare. Just as well as one of the balls had numerous faults (I found 4 before I gave up). The yarn has two of the six threads that are longer in places, meaning the yarn is either much thicker for a few inches or has a loose loop - both faults mean cutting the yarn and starting again."Snuggly" is misleading, the wool is ok but not super-soft as inferred. The colour was true to the picture.

Not happy
This is lovely quality wool. Knits up easy, soft to touch. HOWEVER just as I was reaching the top of the back of the jumper I notice a white line appears. I have had to wait several days for the full order to be completed so now I probably won’t have enough wool to finish. Can’t exactly return this ball of wool as I’ve used it!!

Hadnt realised inly 50g
Somehow having bedn viewing all 100g wool I didnt spot that these are only 50! I had seen some much better wool but hadnt picked those because saw they were only 50g. The wool quality on initial look appears fine, good bug not a soft wool, but i wouldnt have bought them as they are actuallg twice as expensive as id realised. Always check the detail just cause its the same price as 100g detail actually does seem to say its only half that quantity. Bad error not spotting that but only myself to blame on that

Soft and snuggly
Wool arrived vacuum packed. I have used this wool many times in the past for knitting baby and children's clothes and cot blankets. It is really soft and slips on and off the kneedles easily. The finished item is soft and snuggly. It washes well and keeps its shape and the colour does not fade.

colour is true to photo in the ad.
This is a lovely DK yarn that is lovely to knit with and a nice, subtle colour; true to the photo in the adI used it to knit pairs of little 'Ugg' boots and they came out very well.No problem with knotsPrice wise this is perfect as one ball will knit a small coat or cardigan for a new baby.Good value and Recommended

Lovely wool Colour not as it seems
The wool itself is lovely, nice and soft. However the Colour is very different from how they appear on the listing. I was after a pale orange, I have lots of bright orange but needed a more muted tone. From the image this appeared to be just that. However when I received it it was bright, really lovely but not what I needed as I have lots of bright. I found this to be the case with a brown version I bought. The Colour was not the same as shown. I looked at the listing on a phone and my laptop which is Colour matched as I use it to print posters.Anyway lovely wool but just be aware the colors shown are not what they seem.
