Awesome Schtuff -- Try with running ankle socks
Although I'm a longtime skincare fanatic, foot creams are usually where I wind up having issues, letdowns and waste the most money. As I get older, this becomes a bigger problem, thanks to my heels becoming dryer, thicker and more cracked. It was, at one point, so bad that I was embarrassed to get a pedicure, much less let my feet see the light of day...or night.I've managed to tame the severity of my issue in the last few years, thanks to new products and innovations. It's still a lot of effort for half-satisfying results that don't last very long, and the foot creams never really played part of the solution.I've tried various creams, including this brand's original formula, and only one really did something, but it wasn't what I'd call a standalone treatment. This overnight cream, however, showed me instant results within 24 hours, and I continue to see improvement by using it morning and night and with nothing more than a pair of "running" socks (recommend vs moisturizing). Keep in mind, "instant" results will likely vary on how bad your feet are, how thick calluses happen to be, and what's causing issues to begin with.I also make sure to wash my feet with a washcloth before applying it at night and slapping running socks on, not just for sake of bacteria and healing but added moisture. I like the running socks as they protect and support the heel better, and I think they hold moisture better than nasty gel socks or regular socks since they're more compression style. At the very least, they keep goo off the floor until it absorbs, keep wounds clean, promote circulation, and keep your heel from spreading out due to pressure as the heal -- the main cause for cracks.I actually got teary eyed after the first day when I woke up and checked, I was that relieved, happy, and amazed at how soft my feet felt and looked... and with hardly any effort lol. I did have to eventually exfoliate, just less, and I think this, combined with the exfoliating AHA treatment, will help with that more so, which is great since added trauma and friction can exasperate callus issues.Eventually, I think I'll be able to wind down applying it to a few times a week for maintenance and will continue to use my lighter product (i.e. Heel Chemistry) to repair the skin barrier, or simply use this at night. So far, I'm just applying it after my shower snd prior to bed.I do think you'll want to really make sure super-thick heels and calluses are taken down as much as possible to get faster results. I prefer callus removers, like Prolinc, after a good soaking, and good foot tools. Worst case, exfoliating socks, even though that's not exactly fast. However, my heels were moderately thick and very cracked from our dry, winter, and this still did great along side just buffing/exfoliating feet a few times a week. In fact, I noticed what calluses remained were more pliable and easier to get at the next day after wearing this cream.

Does the job, but not a miracle worker.
So I have heavily calloused feet that take a beating in the winter from the hard water on top of the low humidity. About twice a winter i end up with deep cracks in the heels or other parts of my feet from where the skin has dried out too much. I moisturize daily, and use a moisturizing body wash during the winter to try to abate this, but to no avail.Working feet is the first moisturizer, short of wearing a sock filled with petroleum jelly, that soaks in deep and provides relief. I put this stuff on twice a day, after each shower, and has easily replaced my previous daily moisturizer (cocoa butter).I like that it is fast drying, and i dont get that greasy feeling all day long. Additionally there pretty much is hardly any scent so there isnt anything to worry about smell wise. With all this praise stated it wont do anything about getting rid of callouses. if you have a thick layer of callouses, or just dead skin, this lotion will only make it feel more comfortable but not get rid of those. To do that you will need to manually remove the callouses, and my gf has suggested using a skin peel for feet to do that. I suspect once the callouses are gone and the healthy feet can start to really make contact with the actual living skin, it's effects will be that much better.

Good, but I’ll return to the original formula.
I’ve used O’Keefe’s products for YEARS due to extreme cracking on my heels. The moisturizing of the original formula was unbeaten by anything else I’ve ever tried. I use it on my hands and feet. I tried this new product as a trial expecting equal results. So far, I’ll go back to the original product.Pros and cons:Pros:Much more sheerPhenomenal scent. Kinda a lavender scent but NOT strong and it does fade quickly. This might be a con to some, I guess, but for me that was the best part.Non-greasy. At all.Dries/soaks in quickly.Thick and rich.Cons:My usual is that after three days of scraping (filing) and then moisturizing with O’Keefe’s twice to three times a day, two days the pain is gone and three, I’m done for that “time” or event of a crack going deep enough to cause pain. Four days in and still limping around. I finally did it an old way - Vaseline and a bandage - and it stopped hurting today. Not real pleased about that.It doesn’t seem to “last” as well as others. By a few hours, my feet don’t feel like I’ve done anything at all.

Works
Honestly, I am always skeptical of anything that says it can make my feet soft again especially my heels which are always cracked and dry. Amazingly enough, this started working right after the first application! I don't honestly remember to use it every night but I do use it almost every night and it has done an amazing job at restoring my heels and making them soft again. There is little to no scent for this which I absolutely LOVE! My husband is sensitive to a lot of smells to I have to be very careful when I buy things like lotions or foot cremes. He didn't even notice that I had used this. I love using this product and it helps restore your feet for summer when lets face it most of us are in sandals and this year I won't worry at all since this product works amazing!

My cracked feet love this stuff!
I have crazy dry, cracked heels. I had tried to intense repair cream and while it did make my heels softer, it didn't fix my problem feet. This stuff feels wonderful, smells wonderful, and absorbs easily! You put it on at bedtime and, viola! perfect feet in the morning. I'm kidding; of course it doesn't work that fast. But it DOES work, especially when you combine it with a foot file to remove all of that nasty dry skin prior to using it. The instructions don't state to do this, and I know everyone else in the world hates wearing socks to bed, but I usually put socks on after I put this on to sleep, because I don't like how it feels under the blankets *shrug*. Highly recommend this product.
