RCA 1103-1BKGA Slim-Line Corded Telephone

This simple RCA phone has a single long handset cord. I did not measure the length of the uncoiled section since it was plenty long for any standard phone installation.The coiled end plugs into the handset. The long uncoiled section of the handset cord is made to be clipped into strain reliefs on the bottom side of the base unit. Excess cord can be wound around inside the plastic base for a neat installation. The free end of the handset cord is terminated in a standard RJ-11 type modular telephone plug. The plug is made to plug into a standard telephone modular wall jack. Extensions for the supplied cord can be purchased at local hardware or general merchandise stores. There are no circuits, buttons, or switches in the base unit. The molded plastic base unit can be clipped to a standard telephone wall plate, or with screws to the wall, or it can be placed on a flat surface like a desk or table. This phone gets it's operating power from the telephone company wall jack circuits on copper POTS lines. I am using it on a VOIP phone system.

This is a good product. Ive had it for at least 3 months now and I can make calls nicely with no extra effort. The ringer is not too loud and i attached a extender so i have a 25 ft cord for a replacement. Very lightweight and surprising with the cord design

Simple, easy landline for garage use, has nice quality tone. Bought it partly to check my line (NID) and the NID didn't work but my 25 year old Sony was overdue for replacement..

Haven't had it long enough to comment on how well it works BUTit's such a strange little phone. The curly cord part that goes to the headset doesn't attach to the base but after a food or so becomes the straight cord that attaches to the phone jack. Nothing attaches to the base cradle (the sole purpose of which seems to be to hold the handset and to hang up the phone)Very weird. Cheap enough to live with.

My kids are always watching videos on my phone so it’s nice to have a simple phone they won’t want to mess with that I can use. It is well built, simple and it just works. It has a super long cord that makes it easy to roam when on the phone. BUY IT NOW!

In this age where the latest smartphone "IS IT". People still have 2 copper wire landlines not VOIP.This phone still offers features like illumination & memory with only a telephone input by using 3 AA batteries.It is a Southwestern Bell Freedom Phone.

I live in rural northern California, an area that occasionally becomes a third world nation when the power company arbitrarily shuts off the power to the region. For days at a time.Our regular landline is great and has plenty of bells and whistles, but needs a power supply to operate. The RCA 1103-1BKGA Slim-Line Corded Phone has one function, to make and take calls, and it does it without power. Just plug it into the wall jack and it works.It is literally a lifeline when the power in off. The price was great too.

When I connected I could hear very well, something is broken inside, maybe the microphone, so the person on the other side of the line cannot hear me. I already checked all the buttons and this handset is very easy to use, plug and play. Simply it does not work. I do not recommend it.

Purchased this phone as a simple phone to use for a family member in a long term care home. The phone is easy for them to read the numbers and use to make calls to family. The sounds quality on both ends is great. It’s a great basic phone for anyone looking for a phone for a senior family member.

Needed a basic functioning hand-set for my fax line. Does the job 'Without any Bells and Whistles'. Fair sized dial buttons on the hand-set which in itself is well sized for my big hands and has good & loud adjustable volume settings. Good purchase for what it is.Enjoy..
