The Continental sleep 2-inch Bunky Board , King provides a solid surface foundation for any platform beds, bunks and daybeds. It adds support to the mattress and will keep mattress stay in good shape thus extending the life of your mattress. It will give a firm bottom support for the mattress and raises the mattress up for about 2 inches. Save yourself some time, go to Home Depot
These things squeak like crazy, really just wrapped cardboard. I just replaced them. Save yourself some time, go to Home Depot or Lowes, get 2 x 3/4" sanded plywood 4'x8', get it cut there to 38x80, and use that instead. Much cheaper, sturdier, and no squeak.

DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! It arrived damaged so I was actually able to see what it was made from. The inside was corrugated card board. This is supposed to be a platform for a mattress?? The box that it arrived in was sturdier. It says made in the USA and I believe that however I think it was made in the basement of someone's house in the USA. The photo that they show in the description is not what I received. The fabric that wrapped the cardboard was wrapped and stapled by a 3 year old.Look at the photo I attached to witness this horrible product.

False Advertising, turning them into the Better Business Bureau!
The product description and manufacturers answers to questions pertaining to the makeup of this product are a blatant lie and false advertising. I read question asked and all of the answers to find out what the composition of the product was. The manufacturer said repeatedly that it was not slats and was solid wood. This is a lie. It is a wooden frame with a few slats wrapped in material. I specifically purchased this product with the understanding that it was solid wood wrapped in bonded fabric. The product is a frame with solid wood slats and frame wrapped in bonded fabric. I could have purchased a metal frame or bunkie board slats for cheaper and been in better shape. Speaking of shape, the combined weight of my husband and I is 550 lbs hence why I wanted solid wood wrapped in bonded fabric. This product is absolutely useless and this company is the has ripped off people like a cheap cars salesman selling lemons. I am absolutely furious and will be turning them into the Better Business Bureau along with screen shots of their blatant lies to customers that asked directly about the composition of this product and the Manufacturer's responses.

... about a year and a half and it squeaks/croaks terribly just sitting on
Update!!!Just received a new box spring I purchased from a different seller and boy is it a night and day difference from this junk to my new one. No exaggeration it feels like I have a new mattress. I ripped open these bunkie boards and they were in fact cardboard. Photo now attached!DO NOT BUY.Its been about a year and a half and it squeaks/croaks terribly just sitting on, getting up etc. I thought it was our mattress that was purchased right before this bunkie board and was about to file a warranty claim with the mattress manufacturer when I read on their website to check the box springs to make sure its not them. Decided to check them and guess what? I pul a little pressure with my hand and it makes the same noise as if a full bodied person was sitting on it. Also I could feel the material through the cloth which really does feel like cardboard. Terrible do not buy. I am looking into buying another one from a different company.

Very expensive, and not very effective.
Soo, we got this after it was pretty clear that our avocado mattress was going to need a better base to live on. Having no previous experience with a "bunkie" I was hopeful that it would be able to provide the rigid support that our mattress needed. Unfortunately that's just not the case. The mattress feels like it sags more now than it did before. And once it sags through the fabric, it still contacts the bed frame slats... I'm hoping that AMZ will honor their return policy on this. And I'll probably be looking for a solid board now...

Thin, Good Quality, Needs Support Under It
These answered some very specific needs for a house where a one-piece queen size box spring wouldn't fit up the stairs, an existing bed headboard that wouldn't accommodate a thicker box spring plus one of the new, thicker mattresses, and a mother who did not want a tall bed setup she couldn't get in and out of easily. This comes in two light-weight pieces, which made it very easy to handle and get up the stairs. The thickness is only an inch or two, which makes it possible to get a taller mattress (9-11 inches) without increasing the overall height of the bed from what used to be typical. Quality seemed very good, but this is NOT meant to be a replacement for a box spring on an unsupported bed frame. With a standard metal bed frame you'll need at least three solid cross pieces underneath this, but more is better. You're really getting more of a mattress platform here than a bed support system. You must have a good, solid bed frame beneath it that is capable of supporting the entire mattress by itself. In our case, after the unwelcome surprise that the bed frame had no cross supports, disassembled the existing box spring and used only the wooden slat portion (removing all the springs and wire mesh and fabric) so we had effectively created a thin wooden slat platform (ones you can buy are also available on Amazon, some of which come rolled up for easy transport). On top of this we put this bed platform, screwed it down so there wouldd be no shifting and had a nice-looking, smooth, yet strong and solid THIN mattress support. Then we added the quite heavy new GhostBed memory foam mattress ( GhostBed Queen Latex & Gel Memory Foam Luxury Mattress, 11-Inch (11GBED50) ) and achieved an entire bed that was no higher off the floor than the original box spring and old 5 inch mattress, all with elements that came in compact sizes so they went up the stairs and around the corners easily.

Incredibly poor value for the price.
Do not be deceived by the image. The queen size comes as two separate, unattached pieces. They do not connect, they do not fold over. They appear to be about seven slats covered by cardboard or perhaps the backing they put on cheap bookshelves, covered by fabric. I have attached pictures of the white top side and the black bottom side. Have a hammer ready to push the staples in that are extended too far out before you put it under the mattress. It does fit a queen bed perfectly without sticking out on the ends. It does appear to be adequate support for my Sleep Number bed on top of a box spring, although time will tell if it really is enough support given the flimsy quality. I would have done the 3/4" plywood and quilt exercise if I had had enough time, but I did not. Incredibly poor value for the price.
