A Well Written Guide for Acing Product Manager Interviews
This is a great book for those individuals who are vying for a product manger role. I found a quick, valuable read with plenty of helpful illustrations. While the book gives examples of typical questions that you would be asked for a PM interview, I thought that the major strength was the CIRCLES framework that is easily remembered that will help tackle a typical (or atypical) interview question. I also liked the sample dialogues between the candidate and interviewer, and found the feedback on what made a strong interview response (or weak one as well) extremely valuable. This book is a great bargain and you will refer to it often as you do your interview preparation.

On point refresher and must have for any PM’s bookshelf!
The book is super hands-on and insightful. My only suggestion to Andrew for the next edition is to watch out for ultra localizing the cases to the Bay Area, such as references to the CalTrain, or at least taking a moment to clarify the context for international audiences. The book is well worth the buy and will keep on giving! I do also recommend supplementing it with the follow up guides, like the 164 questions and answers guide. Excellent refresher and inside look at interviewers’ mindset at the top tech companies, please trust from experience!

Outdated and incomplete, but definitely still worth reading
This is one of two classics when it comes to PM interview prep, along with Cracking the PM Interview. I remember reading this book years ago and decided to pick up the latest edition last week, as I am preparing to make my next career jump after 5 years as a Product Manager at Apple. Sadly, the book is nearly identical to the previous black-covered version; even the typos and outdated examples remain unchanged.I think the biggest drawback of this book is for anything involving business strategy or open-ended product questions, as there's next to no up-to-date examples included. For this reason, I would recommend reading this book in conjunction with another book called Swipe to Unlock. While Swipe to Unlock isn't a PM interview book, it was written by PMs at FAANG companies and it provides a hyper-recent overview of the latest tech trends, strategies and key insights for everything important that happened in tech up till around late 2019. It also breaks down a lot of more recent strategy questions involving all the top companies (eg. Why did Microsoft Acquire LinkedIn, Why does Uber continue to use Google Maps instead of building their own maps even as Google's self-driving cards continue to make advancements, etc.).In my opinion, if you own the previous edition of this book, it's definitely not worth buying the new edition. However, if you haven't read this book, I think you should. Although some of the examples are outdated, the overview of the different types of questions you might get asked along with the example questions and answers are still helpful to review. Between reading Decode to Conquer and Swipe to Unlock, I have found myself extremely well-prepared for all the PM interviews I have had thus far (Google, Slack, Facebook and Pinterest).

The best resource for understanding product manager interviews
This book was a game changer preparing me for product manager interviews. It's is thorough yet easy to follow. It is an interview preparation guide but it is very insightful preparing one to think and speak better about product, so the benefits extend beyond the interview process to your day to day job.

Cracking the interviews
It's a book that will help you think like a PM if you have no PM experience and plan on making the shift. This is the book I suggest.

Helpful methods but outdated
Helpful book, methodologies are great. Would be helpful to have more up to date content to reflect tech hiring in 2019. Tech hiring changes extremely quickly and different questions are asked now v. 2013. This is the 2019 version, but it is quite outdated. For example, the US population is no longer 315 million, and Uber has been an app for 7+ years. There are also numerous typos (see photos). Questions also feel very Amazon-focused, which maybe isn't surprising given the author's company is in Seattle.

Comprehensive book
This book was remarkably useful. When prepping for interviews, folks focus too much on frameworks and not how to use them as communication tools to convey your thought process. Lewis shows with many examples how to get better at interviewing for product. Strongly recommend
