American Dad Volume 10

Volume 10 of American Dad! is a MOD Amazon Exclusive DVD set that contains all the episodes of season nine of the show spread across three discs. By now, most people are likely aware of what the show is like. But for those who are not, it is a story-of-the-week adult animated show created by Seth McFarlane (who also created Family Guy) who also voices several characters on the show. The main characters are the Smith family, led by Stan Smith who is a CIA agent who also harbors an Alien named Roger, who disguises himself as various "characters" he comes up with. The weekly story usually involves one of those two, but also can involve Stan's wife, Francine, one of their kids, Steve or Hailey, and/or one of the side characters.The show is definitely not family-friendly, especially the DVD versions which have uncensored episodes which often include the actual swear words (including f-bombs) which are not beeped out. There are no DVD extras, just the episodes themselves, but so the only reason to get the DVDs is to have the uncensored episodes (which are not included when streaming the show). The episodes this season include a spoof on the movie Poltergeist, a parody of the show Breaking Bad, and the first evil Christmas-themed episodes, which would become a running gag throughout the run of the series. The episodes are mostly self-contained, but occasionally there are two-part episodes, and the episodes sometimes refer back to prior episodes.Overall, the show is still good. It found a formula that works and has stuck with it. It can certainly be argued that it is getting a bit long in the tooth, but I do think they still tell entertaining stories. I would say that there are not as many laugh-out-loud moments as the earlier seasons had, but it is still funny. So, if you are a fan if the show it is still worth watching. If you have never liked the show, however, this season is not likely to change your mind.

I absolutely love that for all the nonsense that transpires and as much as they talk crap to each other, there's still a loyalty and love that all the characters have to each other. It really captures the idea that even in relationships like the one between Stan and his daughter Haley, you can be annoyed with all the things that you disagree about as individuals and still love each other as family. It is ridiculous, fun, entertaining and full of relatable family relationships.

This is just another installment in the classic brilliance of Seth McFarlane. Volume 10 is great! If you are a fan of American Dad, then you need this one along with all the rest of the seasons!

I just got it today and only watched two episodes so far. As mentioned in other posts the MOD disc art work is great, however a minor glitch in my set is the discs are numbered wrong. I put in Disc One and after the disc loaded and went to the menu screen it comes up as Disc Two and the episodes listed are what is printed on the DVD case for Disc Two. I thought I may have received two Disc Two's so I put in Disc Two to check it out and the menu screen comes up as Disc Three; do the same with Disc One and it comes up as Disc Two. I got all three discs so I'm not going to return them. I guess whoever burned the discs may have had a hangover that day and put them in the wrong order.

Finally! The artwork on these MOD Discs look BEAUTIFUL (see photo) compared to every other MOD release I've ever bought from Amazon! Let's hope this trend continues! I'm not a fan of having to buy certain series I want or started collecting in MOD format now, but if they keep making them look like this, at least it lessens the blow! Keep it up!

American Dad was really funny and was excellent to collect for my collection

Even though these are now being released on demand, (CD-R's) they have improved their quality vastly. The artwork as well as the packaging is over nice. Sad to see no added bonus features but if you are a fan of the show, this is a must have.

Love this season. Was pleasantly surprised all the disc actually work as the last season I bought, the last disc wont play

The last American Dad Volume i'll get. Show goes a little down after this, and most of the time the prices of the new volumes are just too much money.

This version, with the blue "M" sticker on the front, doesn't appear to be fake - at least the packaging and DVD performance are the same as the other ones I've had. I hesitated to buy it because of some of the other reviews which appear to refer to an earlier version.As for the content, it's American Dad!

Great price! you really can't go wrong with that. I will most definitely be buying more at this price.

I suspect region 1 is 'printed to order' and would appear fake (although it isn't!). This version is region 2 & perfectly legit!
