Maxsa 37357 Park Right Reflective Car Door Bumper Guards with Adhesive Mounting (2-Pack)

I put these on the side of our garage to protect the sheet rock from opening the car door. I put up two, one for the front door and one for the back. Installation was easy. First I pulled the car into the garage and opened the door to see where it would touch the wall. I put a small mark there and used that to center the bumber. Then I used a stud finder to find a stud, and put another small mark on the wall. Next I took off the protection on the back and stuck the bumper on the wall. Then I got a screw long enough to dig into the stud and put it into the bumper and stud to secure the unit. Now there is no chance of the bumper falling off the wall or the door dinging up the wall.I also bought some floor stops to make sure the car stops in the same place every time. This combination makes everything secure and very functional.

Product works as designed. Prevents my car doors from putting dings in my garage walls. Extremely easy installation. Would recommend for anyone who parks in their garage and/or has children.Update: 7/1/16I originally purchased this item to prevent damaging my garage drywall with my vehicle door. The product does just that. However, we are currently experiencing a pretty brutal summer here in Florida. The temperature in the garage can get well over a 100 degrees. Unfortunately the tape which holds the product to the wall begins to melt at those temperatures. The end result; the product falls off the wall. Fortunately, I had a few (Scotch All-Weather Fasteners) laying around in which I used to reattach the product to the wall.

I got these to put on the side door to our garage so that when the door is opened, it doesn't hit the car. The side door is very useful, but it doesn't open all the way when a car is parked in the garage. I wanted something to make sure that someone coming in (perhaps on a windy day) didn't smack the door into the car.These are very soft (but sturdy) foam. The adhesive backing works well. I simply stuck it to the edge of the garage door, and now the bumper contacts the car before the actual door does. The foam is soft and supportive enough that I wouldn't be worried about damage to the car if someone opened the door into the car with a reasonable amount of force.The only thing I don't like is that you can't remove the red and yellow striping on the front. Doing so would peel foam away and look even worse. I don't need the high-visibility sticker and wish it wasn't there, but it's not a huge deal.

I have many MAXSA products, they work great!I had them in my old garage, and when we built a 6-car building in the summer I equipped all 6 bays with MAXSA products. I would recommend them to anyone!These were actually purchased as Christmas presents! We had guests over Thanksgiving that thought they were a great idea.A fantastic product!

I installed these on the wall of my Garage to protect my car doors from being damaged when they bump the wall when people accidentally open the door by pushing too hard. They're made of a dense soft foam. The stripes are NOT reflective, but they are easily seen even in low light. After a few weeks of use they are holding up well to the abuse of being smacked by my car doors.One note: I used extra double-sided sticky foam tape to make sure these things really stuck to my garage wall. They come with plenty of good adhesive tape, but I didn't want to chance them falling, so you might consider adding some more to ensure they stay up once installed.

Great product for protecting doors in your garage or enclosed carport. After reading reviews of many similar products on Amazon I decided on this one. Examining product upon arrival, it seems to be Styrofoam with a thin plastic coating. Pressing on it shows it's not too hard yet soft enough to give a little.I installed by using the mounting tape on the product & sticking it to the inside wall of my metal carport. It's been over a week with daytime high temps from 100 to 105. They're still attached.Update 10-16-2016: I've been using this product since July in central Texas. I originally installed on the aluminium panel on the inside of my carport. The panels go all the way to the ground on the sides. Gets kinda hot down here in the summer. Within a couple weeks the adhesive tape started releasing. So I put a small amount of Gorilla Glue in four spots along the top edge. No problems since. Excellent protection for my Mustangs door edges. No marks on the car door edges or on the protectors. Will have to see how they hold up to our "winters".

They look nice against a white wall - I put up one for my driver's door - and I THINK it is less damaging than the plain wall but you are trading in over an inch of width for some padding about as firm as a pad made of heavy duty resilient Styrofoam covered with a light plastic wrap. Mine fell off after just a few days but I put it up again using a couple of finishing nails angle-nailed into the sides where they won't hurt the car door. At least the sticky strips held it long enough for me to do that when I put it back in place. It did leave big a black sticky mess behind when it came off so I was motivated to put it back up immediately. I'm not sure if I'd recommend or not to be honest - and I'm pretty sure in 100+ reviews that's the first time I've ever said that. Will update when I have more experience with it.

Loved it when we first put it in our garage. Gone are the days when I have to worry about hitting the wall with the door! The foam is so durable and strong that its pretty unbelievable that its for this price!

I had my garage painted and the wall patched where my car door constantly hit it (I was careful however it still hit the drywall). This was super easy to install with the double sided tape, very strong. The package comes with two, I only had to use one so I have one in reserve.
