Does what it says it will. The distance lines were difficult to turn off for me with my E92. Had to fully disconnect negative terminal on the battery for the lines to finally disappear.Also, don't even try to run this off the LCI reverse lights, just run accy. (+) from the center console rearward. I went through two specialty relays trying to get it to work and then just said screw it.

Initial reaction to product is that it looks good but still cheap China quality. The switch mechanism hits the trunk. If you are lucky enough to muscle it in, then the switch comes loose from the handle because held on by glue from a hot glue gun. I measured the oem trunk switch vs the China one and the China one needs to be moved back another 1/4" to fit the e90 correctly. Had to return as it doesn't even sit flush against the trunk with gaps around the handle.

Wonderful back up camera solution for me. I have a 08 335 with the non i drive option, I elected to have an Alpine double din unit with CarPlay installed and a back up camera. I Initially purchased a cheaper competitor but luckily they sent me the bigger trunk latch which forced me to return the item. After looking a bit more I stumbled upon this unit and I’m quite pleased with it. The screen quality is quite sharp, even clearer then the camera that came with my 2015 Grand Cherokee Altitude. If you’re looking for an oem style camera with great picture without breaking the bank then look no further!

The installation is a pain in the ass because you have to run the wires from the screen all the way to the trunk. But it was well worth it. I would do it all over again to get the benefits of this little camera!

The item did not work as described, and the video did not work. It also did not work with the E90 series. Had to return it and was very disappointed.

So after looking at the directions and a couple YouTube videos, I was able to install this myself :) I did have to reset the mounting since I didn't do it right the 1st time. I missed setting the back brace and it left a small gap in the back, closest to the license plate. This backup camera is easy to uninstall with a standard screwdriver so that wasn't a big issue, thankfully, and once set, it's very secure! The picture quality in the dark isn't that great but in places like a parking garage, it's superb. Mine came exactly as shown but the switch to enable/disable the parking lines doesn't work. I hooked up the power lines to my amplifier instead of splicing it into the reversing lights. I do like the stock look of it and just happy that it was easy to hook up to my aftermarket screen. I give it 4 stars cuz the switch didn't work and the ok quality at night time. This is definitely a great buy tho. It's very nice having a backup camera now and for only $65 👍

So far it's been 4 months with this camera and everything seems to be good and working great. The mechanism for the unlock could be better. Otherwise recommended.*** Camera was good for over 1yr, noticed a no signal during a cold December 2022. The camera when put into place is no longer capable of coming back out without either braking this camera handle or bending your trunk slot where the camera goes into. I cannot believe that there is no easy release method to get this out. I'm am completely frustrated that I damaged the trunk as there was absolutely no way to pop this out. I had to bend the trunk slot back into shape somehow. Complete nightmare if you need to remove this. I will be contacting this company for some explanation or compensation.Look at the way this will be held into place. Simply only plastic when once in place no way to get it to pop out.
