Q: what does this iron weigh?

Not sure what it weighs. It isn’t any heavier than my old iron. One big plus - no pressure is necessary to get the job done. This iron does the job and all I have to do is guide it.

Q: What product can you use to clean the soleplate?

I believe that the book that came with it recommended water (wet towel). My iron was clean and brand new when I accidentally touched it to the wrong side of iron on interfacing. I followed their recommendations and could not get the fusible glue off, so My husband cleaned it with some Rowenta sole plate cleaner and it took the finish off the soleplate. Now the iron smokes when turned on, so I have abandoned it and bought a different iron.

Q: How do you clean the sole plate?

I use hot iron cleaner. It’s at Walmart in the cleaning detergent isle.

Q: What product can you use to clean the soleplate?

There is a iron cleaner you wipe on a hot iron & it all comes off. Just use caution. I’ve found it at Walmart (laundry area) & Hobby Lobby (sewing area).
