Good Thermometer - No eBooks
Needed another thermometer for grilling and bought this based on other Amazon recommendations. The thermometer is fast, but not much faster than my old one. Accuracy is very good, within 1 degree of my other thermometer. Constructions is adequate for the intended purpose. the thermometer slides into a slim tube that includes a pocket clip and an opening in the end for measuring liquid temps.Only nit: this was supposed to come with two digital cookbooks, but no instructions for download are provided. Based upon other Amazon buyers of this item, no one else has gotten the books either.

The on/off button just disappeared into the thermometer case rendering the unit useless. I did not drop it or abuse it ...
I bought this thermometer in January 2014 and used it with success for grilling about twice a week until it broke in late September. The on/off button just disappeared into the thermometer case rendering the unit useless. I did not drop it or abuse it in any way unless you consider pressing the on/off button to start and end a grilling session to be excessive. I know it is made in China; but, I still think it should have lasted longer than 8 months.

Small, accurate and nicley priced. You leave the sheath in the food and only need to put the thermometer in when you want a read. Which it does a pretty good rate of time.

Great Thermometer!
Only have had it a week, but it has already been used multiple times. It delivers correct temperature, based on cooking chicken. Could be a little faster, but it's not an instant-read thermometer.
