Exceptional Comfort and Quality in the Amazon Essentials Athletic-Fit Jeans
I purchased the Amazon Essentials Men's Athletic-Fit Stretch Jeans a few months ago and have been consistently wearing them several times a week. Here's my take on these jeans:**Sizing (4/5):** I bought these jeans in a 30x30 in the Athletic-Fit, and while they are a bit loose in the waist, I attribute it to recent weight loss and the need to reevaluate my size. This isn't unexpected when one's body is changing, and it's worth considering a size adjustment.**Outstanding Comfort (5/5):** When it comes to comfort, these jeans are as good as it gets. They're on par with some of the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. The "Athletic-Fit" and "Stretch" features make them a pleasure to wear for extended periods.**Top-Notch Quality (5/5):** The quality of these jeans is truly top-notch. I can confidently say that I've never worn a better quality jean, regardless of the price point. They feel durable and well-crafted.**Unique Design Choice (3/5):** There is one unique and somewhat odd design choice to note—the fly is noticeably short, which can be uncomfortable. However, the overall excellence of these jeans has allowed me to work around this issue and grow accustomed to it.**Compliments (N/A):** While I haven't received specific compliments on these jeans, their quality speaks for itself.**Recommendation (5/5):** Without a doubt, I would highly recommend the Amazon Essentials Men's Athletic-Fit Stretch Jeans to others. They excel in terms of overall quality, comfort, and their reasonable price point. These jeans are an easy choice, particularly for denim wearers who prioritize quality over brand recognition. In conclusion, the Amazon Essentials Men's Athletic-Fit Stretch Jeans offer exceptional comfort, top-notch quality, and a reasonable price point. Despite a minor design quirk, these jeans are a solid choice for anyone seeking comfort and quality in their denim.

Look good fit great .
These Amazon essential athletic fit jeans are really very nice plus they look good. The fit is great and very comfortsble and the price point is terrific for jeans that are comparable to any pair of Levi's I've owned before. Very pleased with this purchase. I'll definitely buy more in future.

Great fit for gym-rat waist and quads, but tight in the calf area
These jeans fit like the proverbial glove in the waist / glute / thigh area, but I have genetically huge calf muscles (even without working them in the gym,) and the cut of these jeans is fairly tight from the knee downward. They'll stretch with use of course, so I can still wear them, but if I were going to do a Rev B on these I'd take into account the fact that people who are gym rats will also work their calves. Which means a bit more circumferential span is needed there. They don't need much of a tweak - else you'd end up with lower legs that are relaxed-fit-baggy - but maybe another inch in total circumference at the calf. When I bend down for something and stand back up these ride up my calves and stick there, I've suddenly got the Pee-Wee Herman high-water style and have to pull them back down. Not a big deal though. Again they *will* stretch, they are still an excellent fit, they're inexpensive, they're available in a solid, dark indigo dye. Call me strange but I'm not enthused at the idea of buying jeans that look like they've been pre-worn for six months by a garage mechanic with a serious incontinence problem. If there's some kind of perceived stylishness in jeans that are visibly worn, buying them pre-stressed is as lame as buying a guitar with the paint pre-worn. Like "Oh, dig ME, I've used these so intensely that the paint is worn off. Except... umm, not really." No. Just... no. Best of all these are available in 28" length on 32" waist, which eliminates a big peeve of mine vis-à-vis jeans:Manufacturers sell pants based on waist vs. inseam measurements, and while the waist measurement is a definite thing, the inseam is not. Tailors typically measure your inseam from the point of direct contact with your groin down to your ankle. So think about it, or better yet just stand up right now and check this out: When you're standing, whatever pants you're wearing do *not* magically stay snugged right up to your Naughty Bits. Rather, the actual cross-seam where the inseam starts will generally hang at least an inch or two *below* the actual, physical surface of your body from which the inseam usually gets measured.Which means - sur-vey SEZ? - the pants you buy with your tailor-measured inseam will be too long, and you're going to be walking around on top of that last inch of cuff, cursing the fact with every step. Unless you go to the expense and hassle of having them altered after the fact. So... a selection of inseam dimensions that actually matches people's true pant-leg length! Amazing! The only thing Amazon - and the whole of the garment industry - could do better is offer men's jeans with those tailor-assumption-inseam options extending all the way down to 26" or 27". We're not all bean-poles out here. I would argue that the vast majority of men, at least in N. America, are shorter than the garment industry weirdly assumes.I'm writing this before having done a wash and with only a day's wear, so I can't comment on how durable the dye is. But at least it's at an intense, deep blue as a starting point - and assuming the dye is of decent quality that's the best you can ask for.[Update 07-27-24: All of the above applies - still a good pair of jeans - but I'm not happy with how the dye is fading. There's a serious fade on both the front and back of the thighs but nowhere else, so the result is that cheesy two-tone thing that screams "Dig these bargain jeans I got from K-Mart!" I probably won't be buying more of these until (unless) I start seeing raves about how this problem - and the calf-size problem - have been corrected in a Rev. B.]

Great Fit and Price
I have been looking for a reasonably priced, well fitting pair of jeans for a while. These fit well all day and were very soft and comfortable from the moment I put them on. Quality fabric for a great price.

Size is not consistent
I loved the first pair of these pants I had. They were 29X30 and fit perfectly and wore well.I am female but I wear these for their fit and wonderful GREAT POCKETS!!! Also Great price. Overall very happy with them. They do wear out however and I needed a slightly larger size so I ordered the same color, same jean in a size 30 X 30. These are the green (olive) color. To my horror the waist on the 30 x 30 was smaller than my current 29s! I measured them just to be sure. I returned them and ordered the 31 x 30. But nope! These are the same size as my current 29s which are a little too snug right now. I'm keeping them although the color and fabric is a bit different because the price was so low. I'll be able to wear them later.Am not going to play this game anymore however by ordering the 32s they will probably be huge or even smaller than the 29s. Not to mention availability of the size / color you want is hit or miss. Not sure if this brand simply can't do sizing correctly or if the pants were mislabeled. I want a pant that is the actually size it says it is and not this nonsense. Wish they'd also keep the material as standard. Now looking for another brand.
