Kitchen Essential with One Lid Caveat
With 30–40 units in use, OXO Pop Tops have become central to my kitchen organization. I use them for tea, spices, coffee, and other dry goods. Storage performance is excellent—noticeable improvements in coffee freshness and moisture retention. Unground beans stayed fresh for over three weeks without degradation.Key Advantages:Wide range of sizes fits nearly any dry storage needAirtight seal maintains freshness better than most alternativesShatter-resistant and safer than glass jars in busy kitchensImportant Limitation:The containers are dishwasher-safe, but the lids are not. The internal spring mechanism traps water, often taking days to dry—if ever—posing a risk to stored contents. Hand wash and air dry lids separately to preserve function.Verdict:While they carry a premium price, the durability, versatility, and freshness-preserving performance make them a smart investment. Just expect the containers to outlast the lids and maintain accordingly.

Look so nice and orderly
I love the ozi containers because I know they are well made, easy to take apart to clean and reassemble once clean and dry. Also the lids stay on nicely and are air proof to keep things fresh. I like how the scoops attach easily and are always there and available. The size of the container was perfect for what I was looking for for dried beans in my pantry.

The tops didn't seal but customer service came through!
PRO: The square shape makes my cabinet more organized than an assortment of round jars.CON: Two of the three containers don't seal at all, so they are more like canisters with a loose-fitting top than a container that seals. I can lift off the top with no effort while the button is down. I wrote to OXO customer support and got this (inaccurate) response:Thank you for contacting the OXO Consumer Care Center! We designed an internal, patented web mechanism in the lid that causes the silicone seal to act like the seal around your refrigerator door. When you press the button, the web expands, pushing the seal, or gasket, out against the container walls, creating a barrier that prevents air from escaping. Although the lid may lift without releasing the push-button, the seal's air-tight gasket would still be engaged, keeping food fresh. We strongly recommend using the push-button to seal and un-seal you POP Containers every time, this way the flexible silicone gasket does not stretch or pull unnecessarily. We also recommend grabbing the containers from the base instead of their lid for this same reason. We want to continue to deliver better products, every day, so we appreciate your feedback.UPDATE: OXO Customer Service is replacing the two defective containers!

Good seal.
I decided to replace my glass kitchen canisters with OXO canisters, due to my fear of the glass canisters hitting the hard kitchen floor. My observation was the OXO had an excellent selection of sizes, shapes, stackable with easy open easy to wash, light weight when empty as compared to glass and if dropped much safer with a great seal. Ordered the 3 pack which arrived perfectly packaged and in perfect condition. Amazon has a great selection of sizes, shapes to meet my kitchen storage needs especially as we approach the holiday season. Storing brown sugar, flour, rice, will be much easier than wrestling with heavy glass canisters which are not stackable. Very pleased with these canisters, great design, space saving, great seal, easy open, wash nicely, easy to dry and a clear view of quantity in each container.

Excellent Customer Service
I bought 20 OXO POP containers of various sizes. Three of the 1.1 quart size did not seal at all. I contacted OXO, and they remedied the issue in a very professional manner. It's so nice to find a company that still stands behind their products. I'll gladly recommend and continue to buy OXO products.

The lids being loose is a "feature not a bug"
The media could not be loaded. I have owned Oxo Pop containers over the years. I still own the ones I bought years ago, and they still work well. So I bought some new ones to store ground coffee. Well today, as I went to pick up a container, the lid came off and I almost dropped the container. Thanks to my cat like reflexes, I was able to save the Roomba from having to snort lines of coffee. But I digress.I checked the other two containers, and the findings were the same. The lids barely hold on to the containers. Called Oxo support, and was told that their container designs have changed. Now the lids are what they call "fridge close." Meaning just like a fridge keeps the air out, their containers keep the air out. But just like a fridge door is easy to open, so is their lid. Huhhh... so what about the "pop" contraption on top? Yeah, never mind that. The person further explained that while the lid designs had changed, they still performed just as well as their old design. Oh, and they "recommend always lifting the containers from their base." So yeah, it seems to me that Oxo has figured out how to make their design cheaper to manufacture, while keeping it functioning at the threshold of plausible deniability. So now, I am going to store my coffee in those deli containers you gather for free. As for these containers, I am going to return them and keep my money in my "fridge close" wallet.
