This is a very good read for anyone whether they're associated with track and field and wanting to learn more insight on kd's history from childhood to elite collegiate coach, or simply someone who wants to be inspired to achieve success in life! Having a somewhat similar upbringing, it's easy to relate and helps reassure what I already believed. That's that our circumstances can either make us better, or make us bitter. That's the difference between a conqueror and a victim.

Thanks for letting me share in your journey! Major things do happen in minor moments ! An easy and humorous read. I would recommend to anyone who loves the secret of the why of the "overcomer' who fights to persevered to achieve against the odds...learning to turn what others often view as negatives into positives.

Not only does Khadevis' book take you through his compelling, sometimes scary, and often very funny life story, but it also delivers a blueprint for outlining your own success and defining what it is you want and WHY! Thanks for this Mr. Robinson. I will be rereading your book in part (and whole) frequently.No matter what your economic, religious or cultural background, When Seconds Count is a lovely read.

Inspirational!

This is a compelling story that describes the meaning behind Major Things Happen in Minor Moments. We all think that major things only happen in Major Moments. We think about graduations, Weddings, births, parties and major events. Yet, the truth is that major things happen all the time. This book highlights some of the times in Khadevis's life in which he had to make a decision. Many times those decisions changed the direction of his life. Using the metaphor of time and seconds that goes along with running and track, he explains that When Seconds Count, you have to make quick decisions and then make the best out of those decisions.

This book really opens your eyes and truly makes you believe that "In Minor Moments, Major Things Happen." From his beginning with every excuse available to use, to his prolific professional career on and off the track, this story inspires and shows you that anything is possible with the right mindset, drive and belief in something greater.
