The Smart Stepfamily Marriage: Keys to Success in the Blended Family

Well, I bought this after hearing the authors discuss blended families on a radio program. My dental hygienist was sharing with me her blended family frustrations so I gifted her the book before I had the chance to read it. She said it was life changing and really has helped her family situation. She said it was a must have resource for all blended families.

Wonderful book and extremely helpful. I marked this up a lot and made notes all over. For me, it’s easy to point out what my spouse is doing wrong but this book allowed me to see how I’m contributing to an unhappy marriage. Definitely things I want to work on.

Excellent book. Full of practical no nonsense advice for the step family. Wish I read this book before I got married to avoid pitfalls and to start conversations that are crucial in the step family marriage. Highly recommend this book and urge couples even CONSIDERING marriage into a step family to read this as well as the smart step mom or step dad before making any decisions. Even bought these books for the couple that did my premarital counseling as the advice and perspectives in these books highlights the challenges specific to the step family that isn't traditional addressed in marriage counseling.

I really think this book could benefit a lot of blended families out there. Sometimes it feels like we're expected to be rocket scientists without the proper education. What can it hurt to take advantage of every resource available? I definitely recommend this book because it addresses the real issues a lot of us face in blended families!

Great book and we are glad we are reading this book before we marry - starting a step family is hard work and this point provided many real life examples, ideas that are practical and provides solid background on where people come from reading biological families- all will keeping Christian beliefs at the forefront.

Many couples face this challenge but there are few good resources to assist them. No one marries again to be miserable or divorce. This book can help blended couples and families to be happier.

I can't say enough about this book. It has helped my fiancee and I come to a place where we are far more prepared to get married. We love the test before the book begins. Such a great investment in your future as a couple. I highly recommend this book if you are thinking of getting married into a blended family situation or if you are already in one and struggling. It is worth the time and money (for book and second test or second book).
