Owl Portable Fun and Safe Rechargeable Night Light

This works great! Perfect for middle of the night feedings with a baby, helps me keep the light low so we both can get back to sleep easily. Easy to pick up off the base and take wherever needed, I'm guessing my daughter will like that feature as she gets older. Plus very cute owl. :)The red light works great for an all-night light, and the settings are easy to change. My only complaint is that even if it's set for a particular color, as soon as you pick it up it goes to the default color changing setting, which I find annoying. But it's easy to re-set, so not really a big problem.

I bought this little owl as a replacement to another owl night light that I bought from pottery barn kids and I can't fully review this owl with out letting you know about the first one. I bought the first one from PBK a couple years ago but because of a the age of my son, I didn't break it out until recently and I hated it. It was impossible to balance the little thing perfectly to charge it, little ones couldn't turn it on and when it finally was turned on it had to be balanced perfectly or it would stop working. This led to a lot of tears, because 18 month olds just don't understand why their toy isn't working. I was frustrated because PBK charge a bit more than I really wanted to spend, but it was for my son's nursery, so I did it. After 3 weeks in completely stopped working.I broke down and bought the KinderGlow owl and I love it. More importantly, my son loves it. As soon as it came out of the box, he wanted to carry it everywhere. It is so easy to charge and clicks on the base perfectly the first time. Not that I have had to charge it often because the battery lasts for about 2 weeks. it is really easy to turn on and he figured it out in about 30 seconds. He insists on bringing it everywhere with him and cradles it in his lap in the car.

Works well but the slightest bump will turn the nightlight "on" which you may not have meant to do at 2am. Also, when turned on the first color is a bright blue that fades/changes to other colors may awaken others in the room (spouse, infant, etc). The blue is pretty bright but the other colors (red - almost worthless, can't see a thing and nigh cast a bit of scary glow for kids, green - not ascary color like red but still hard to see with) aren't very useful. I probably wouldn't buy again as this product is hard to turn off (button on base- it does shut off automatically when. It on docking station after 30 minutes) and does provide good lighting to see by. Might be ok for young child but didn't serve our purpose (for a nursery)

I've purchased 2 of these in the past 6 months or so. The first one stopped working before the first 90 days, so I was able to return it and get a refund. The problem seemed to be something wrong with the charger base. I bought a second one and that one stopped charging (seemed to be something wrong with the owl itself) suddenly but it was too late to get a refund since it was past 90 days. Not sure what the problem is with these things, but they just don't last. 2 broken in under 6 months is ridiculous especially for the price. I just purchased a night light that plugs into the wall directly at a dollar store and I'll be using that from now on. If it breaks, well at least it was only $1.

Although this is terribly cute and has very nice soft colors, the actual texture of the owl isn't quite as soft as we expected. Our little one loves to play with it and take if off/put it on the base incessantly but doesn't really like it yet for bedtime/comforting. Perhaps this will change with time.... other than it not being her favorite yet, it is very nice quality and could see it still having potential if she starts requiring a night light.

This owl night light is so awesome. I have been shopping for a night light that would work for us for several years now as we are not a fan of the plug into the wall night lights due to the fire hazard and also the allure for the little ones to play with the plugs. I have looked into several others that were similar to this style but had this problem or that. This is the best night light on the market in my opinion. It is big enough that it produces enough light child can see in the dark where they are going it doesn't create any creepy shadows in the room that make it counter productive for it's purpose you can leave it on the docking station or take it off due to the rechargeable battery it is super cute and my child loves it. It is also well made very durable I can tell it is not going to fall apart in a month. The design is intuitive and easy to use. I absolutely love it and if you are not a fan of the traditional night light this is probably the perfect product for you. A lot of money for a night light you say..............I agree but like I said I endorse this item fully and feel that for our clan it has been worth every penny.

This night light was exactly what I was looking for: a soft light that could be set to stay on all night without being plugged in. I’d read that red light is supposed to be most conducive to sound sleep, and this light has a red setting. My toddler loved it and it was sturdy enough for her to hold and play with.However, after less than 3 months, the charging station stopped working (the toddler didn’t play with the charger, just the owl, so it's not from rough handling). I was thinking about buying another just to have another charging station, but now that I see so many others writing about the same problem I don’t think I’ll sink more money into it. What a shame.
