Pocketdoodles for Young Artists Paperback – September 1, 2010

Great portable book for restaurants and in the car. Sparks creativity and isn't a screen!

Gave this to my little brother (8 years old) for christmas, as I wanted to give him a gift that helped foster creativity instead of a video game or something less involved. As soon as he opened it, he immediately started drawing in it. I was so happy that he enjoyed it! He has attention deficit issues so I was worried he'd lose interest, but when he's drawing in this book he focuses so well. I recommend this highly! Plan on buying the other books in the series for him as well.

It's not "open ended" but it does help ignite their imagination. I like the way it challenges, makes it exiting for the kids to open it up and and see what the next assignment is. My daughter has the princess one and whenever she is bored she opens it up for a new challenge. Only thing, if you are buying it for a non-reader be ready for "what does this say?" :). Plus, it's easy to take along for trips ...

Kept my 9 year old granddaughter VERY occupied on the plane during vacation. She LOVED sharing all of her "Doodles" with us!

My 8 year old loves these pocket doodles so much. I get him a new one every time we have a long car ride and he will sit quietly for hours doodling. A nice break from video games. Wish there were more pocket doodles! We have 3 of them.

I keep this book in my purse so anytime we are traveling or at a restaurant my son has something to do.

I got this for a road trip for my kids to keep them busy. They look really fun and I think they will keep them occupied for a little while at least. They really are small enough to fit in your pocket. Cool concept!

My daughter loves this little book and it causes her already creative mind to swell with further attributes. The partial drawings are accompanied with slight suggestions as to how the drawings should be completed, the result is fun and interesting as well as academic and restorative. A bit pricey but worth it in the end. Tally-Ho! 5 Stars!.

El libro está muy bien y tiene muchísimos recursos para trabajar interdisciplinariamente. Al ser tamaño bolsillo es muy manejable. Llegó en perfectas condiciones y muy rápido.
