Excellent!
The color is more of a heathery sage than army green, either way it's a very nice shade. The waist pack is well constructed with quality materials. The size is great for what I needed. My handicap parking tag fits in the back of the main pocket very easily.2 sets of keys fit in the very front pocket. My large cellphone in it's case fits easily in the next pocket. The 2 little pockets on the sides are great for lip balm, a small (altoids-type) tin for medications, etc.Plus I have a slim pouch with a pen, pencil & sick eraser in the very back pocket.2 (2 year) pocket calendars, coin purse & an aluminum wallet in the main pocket with plenty of room to spare.Even with all of this in it, it does not stick out too far from the body (maybe 3&1/2 inches?), so it doesn't get in the way.I'm very pleased with this waist pack.

Great until it wasn't.
I loved this pack when I first got it. 7 pockets of varying sizes, nice wide strap that didn't fold over itself too much, plenty of length. I'm blind, so I wanted this to replace another waist pack, which I use instead of a purse, for better security. I knew just where everything was just by feeling for it. But the inner zipper on the large compartment broke pretty quickly, but that was OK; I could still use that small pouch area since the large compartment it's in has a zipper. But after about 6 months of several times a week use, the zipper on large compartment suddenly broke, while I was away from home. It was really inconvenient, & unsafe, & I had to carry the pack in a tote bag until I could shift everything to another bag. Maybe I should just be glad it worked well for 6 months considering that it wasn't expensive, but it was the suddenness of the breakage that threw me for a loop, not like previous packs that I knew were wearing out & gave me some 'advance warning' that I needed to choose & buy a new one.

The bag was very useful, holding mobile unit
Sure, it's a bit large, but if you're looking to tote along items you don't want in your pockets (assuming you've got pockets), this is very handy. Well-designed & constructed...rugged but good-looking canvas. My only negative noticed is that the belt-strap seems to slip just enough to allow it to sag on/below the waist on occasion. Perhaps the use of the specific plastic on the catch & the belt material doesn't create quite enough friction. Used extensively for an active couple weeks sent walking about in several English sites, both rural & urban. The bag was very useful, holding mobile unit, small notepad, change, camera, cough drops, small bottle hand crime, etc. But, it did need to be belt-adjusted several times. Maybe a small piece of duct tape/fabric tape might help...haven't tried, but will experiment soon. Really do like the bag, overall.

Using it for over a year - it is still in perfect condition. Very comfortable with lots of compartments.
Can't believe how long I've had this and it still looks nice and nothing's damaged. If you like cloth fanny packs, this is awesome. About to reorder it just in case. I've worn this to work every day, took this camping, took this to Europe and Mexico - definitely my favorite of all, and I've usually had to switch fanny packs every few months.

Detail in Small Things
Likes: Durable exterior, heavy duty zipper handles, & heavy duty strapDislikes: Back pocket zipper snags material inside of pocket zipper liner causing snags and small tears when trying to unzip the pocket; back pocket top stitch between back pocket and main container unraveled causing hole between compartments just 2 weeks into use after receipt of pack. Small front pocket had frayed edges that began to unravel after repeated open close of zipper. Interior lining feels not so rugged but rather thin and flimsy.Summary: When I read Rugged, I assumed it would handle normal day to day and the pack was not even in full capacity. Nor was it abused as I am careful with new belongings. Submitted Refund online and have shipped item back to Amazon via UPS today.

Inside pockets incomplete!
Check that the inside pocket material is complete. Mine went 3/4 of the distance from the right side, then abruptly stopped, leaving the internal pockets to co-mingle, defeating the independent pocket design.Overall strong external denim-like material, but poor quality assurance.I still like and recommend the waist pack, but thoroughly check the one you get, inside particularly!

Zipper problems didn't last 3 days on vacation
I love the size of this. Bought for a Disney trip. First full day of use and the zippers were giving me grief. By the end of day 3 ALL zippers were messed up. The material where the zippers are down show a lot of wear and seam to be coming apart. I was hoping for s good purchase as I end up hold 3 people phones and glasses when they are on rides. This was a hassle since I had to WORK to open or close this. Very frustrating

Damaged Item
I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. My bad. For one thing, the ad photos make it seem bigger than it is, but even so it's a decent size. However, the partition between the main and rear compartments was ripped: see photo of my hand.
