Great book for young teens!

Kate has been provided with a horse named Capri but she is feeling frustrated. Capri was out to pasture for a year before becoming Kate's and Kate is not experienced enough to handle her. An hour's riding lesson a week is just not enough! Kate knows life is tough for her family. Her younger brother, Pete, has autism so a lot of money is spent on his therapies etc. Nevertheless, Kate has a moan to her mom along with putting an idea in her head. Can they do up the arena and boarding facilities so as to lease them out thus bringing in some extra money? This way Kate could have longer lessons and they might even be able to find a trainer for Pete. What will her parents say? Will it all go to plan? How will Kate handle having Melissa, a not particularly nice girl from school, boarding her horse with them? Several prayers go up! How does Pete break the ice?It is not long though before Kate starts to moan about having to do all the work, even when she has her best friend Tori and other friend Colt's help. Can Kate and Tori figure Melissa out? In this book, the second in the series, I saw the classic signs of a teenager: outbursts, arguing with parents etc. HOWEVER her parents guide her, do not give in to some of her silly and impetuous demands and Kate learns responsibility along with the need to look at more than just the outward appearance and actions of people.This is a well-written book and definitely recommended for girls who love horses. You will find some extra surprises at the end of the book plus a sneak peak into Book 3. I purchased this book for my Kindle. I was not required to write a review but chose to do so. Thanks, Liz

Finally a book I do not have to make my daughter read. My daughter hates to read but loves horses. She has really enjoyed reading this book. It keeps her attention and she actually wants to continue reading each night.

It was an inspirational book about people that love horses thank you so much for putting this on my app. I can’t wait to read the next one!

I truly enjoyed reading Kate's new adventure. Miralee has always put a lot of thought in care into her books & for young readers, I think any one would truly enjoy this one. Can't read to the next one. Enjoy reading about true friendship.

The character development in these books is great, the stories are beautiful, and it is so easy for a young girl to relate! Wish the author would write 10 more!

My granddaughter who just turned 9 years old loves these stories. She received several other horse story books but said these are her all time favorite.

This will take more than one pre bed reading. But at 6 yrs old, she ready to wait for the next sleep.
