Happy
With this lock down I only got to use them twice. They are a good weight and feel ok to me. I’m a cheap angler and not into £mega spends. I enjoy fishing as a pass time not competitive. They do the job and I’m happy. If you are looking for a good looking a nice feel and a highly usable reel at an affordable price then this is for you. Also a good starting reel for newbies. 9lb common carp and a lot of small silver fish on the first use. So yes. Happy

Great for the money.
I was in two minds if I should buy this reel given its low price, thankfully I went ahead and bought it and I'm glad I did. This reel is nice and smooth on the wind with its counterbalanced handle and an infinite anti-reverse, a great bonus not usually found on cheap reels. The bail arm goes down firmly with a reassuring clunk and stays down until you decide otherwise. This reel has a free runner system that works as it should via the lever on the rear of the reel, it has the tension adjustment for this also on the rear of the reel like more expensive reels do, a quick turn of the handle dis-engages this solidly and then there is the standard front drag clutch on the top of the spool. Both work fine if a little limited in the amount of tension adjustability.Talking of spools this reel comes with a spare spool, another bonus for a reel of this type at this price point. The overall feel and build quality is better than the price may suggest it would be.How long this reel will last has yet to be determined, but I would think most anglers would probably upgrade their reels before this would need replacing. So what's the catch?Well, the only two downsides I can find are the spring clips on the spools that hold the top washer in place are not the strongest of springs and may need to be kept under observation for coming loose and the other is the line lay. It's not as even as I would like it to be, it's not bad and is usable, but you will need a little extra care when spooling the reel up with some line.Perhaps I'm being too picky and I'm just used to it being perfect like on my more expensive reels.Overall, it looks good value for money but only if this reel has a reasonable life span and only time will tell that, cheers :-)
