This is a beautiful item. One thing I recommend is not submerging totally in water.....this will make it last longer and prevent it from molding. I have had mine for 6 mths now, and it still smells fresh like I just got it. I took a glass cooking dish, added some glass/crystal rocks spread amongst the bottom with a little spot in the middle for the roots to touch the bottom and get to the water, while the rest of the plant is supported above the water by the stones. It will still open, and it will stay fresh longer without the bad smell from the mold it will collect over a period of time. When I spot the first sign of mold, I immediately take it out of the water and let die for a while until the mold dies too. People mention submerging in alot of water, but only do at YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!Overall, I can sense the shift of energy in my home from this plant. Do your homework to get the most out of this, and it may change your life, and household for the better!!!! Just remember to treat it with respect!!!!!

This plant is amazing. I've had mine 2-3 weeks now. Follow the instructions and you'll enjoy it for a long time. It just sort of goes into cocoon mode when the water evaporates. I let it sit dormant for about a week, add water to the dish and it comes back to life. It's not pretty, but it's the most interesting plant I've ever purchased.

I would just save your money. This rose is so small and beat up! The quality is not up to par. And Amazon won’t even let me upload a photo

I use this to help me remember to water my plants. I place it in a cup and water it when I water my other plants. When it curls back up I know it’s time to water again.

Cute trick, but it's not alive. Opens quick after watering, but soon blackens with rot. I guess it's a novelty to watch it unfurl and then let it dry out again. Do not expect it to grow! To be alive/grow they must have the rhizome still attached. No one I've found sells them like this. You pretty much have to harvest them in person. Oh well. Still cool to watch, good for kids. Great for science!

My plant arrived, I put it water with river rocks and within a day, it opened up. It's a beautiful bright, Robust and full, lively evergreen color. I use a spray bottle to keep the ends from drying up. Great purchase. I am very pleased.
