Monoprice 3G SDI to HDMI Converter 110318

Worked well with BM ATEM switcher including audio. Ran 150 foot run to 50 inch monitor for awards show at our University.

several months of use down the road and it works just as well as the professional grade stuff. We have well over 100 of them Velcro’d to the backS of all our 40” & larger LCD monitors. Signal is usually 1080p. At this price point I’m half tempted to add them to all midsize projectors.

Having bought a cheaper converter and finding that it only converted one field and gave half vertical resolution, I returned and got this Monoprice unit.Like the earlier unit, it can't accept 24PsF input, but unlike the cheaper unit, it does a respectable job of converting interlaced signal to progressive. The resolution looks like 24PsF, so the result is the same, even though I must set camera output to interlaced to get this unit to recognize the input. Minus one star for not handling progressive signal input. Otherwise, does the job well.

Arrived DOA bit was refunded quickly.I've ordered other in the paswd that worked great.

I'm using 3 of these handy units at my church for displaying video feeds throughout building. These units have been flawless with zero quality lost. I'm using these with the BM atem 1me and couldn't be happier. Also the hd_sdi loop through works perfectly.

Bought four of these in 2015 from monoprice website, they are dead in Jan 2016. Bought two in 2016 they are dead in May 2017. Again we bought two of these in June 2017 they are also dead last week. we would not buy these again. thought me and my crew were doing something wrong with converters, but after so many converters dead on us, we believe its QC problem and use of cheap components. We use these on location for concerts and live events. I highly recommend to stay away from it. Don't stress out yourself at live events and waste your time.

Been working for a few months now, almost around the clock, no issues.

Bought (3) so that monitors in various locations could be seen & heard. Using a 720p signal with 2 channels of audio embedded on the SDI (Ch 1&2). Confirmed signal going in with engineering scopes, post-converter box...no audio. The video signal was fine. Just weird that the box would behave in this manner, bad design.

It just works as supposed, no issues.

To be honest we bought a bunch of these,. And the failure rate is quite high, poorly built Chinese product, warranty is a challenge as they need to all the way back to California at your own expense
