Very good - Does what it needs to do
This weedkiller was recommended by a professional gardener for getting rid of brambles and other tough weeds. The bottle has a built-in measure that dispenses a fixed amount. The sprayer is well made with a lance that makes it easy to spray close to the ground, no bending over. The spray is adjustable and gives only a relatively small spray, which makes it better for not spraying unwanted areas. There is also a strap which means you can carry the sprayer across your shoulder. I found this a bit awkward.Took 1 to 2 weeks for weeds to die off completely as to be expected with glyphosate. Also in the box were 3 blue plastic gloves.Overall very good.

Simple to use.
My existing ,much older sprayer has begun to leak under pressure which is not ideal when as a consequence the sprayee i.e. me becomes soaked in weedkiller/bug killer although breenly & red spider mite have been giving me a wide berth of late. That sprayer had metal parts & I assume it's why it lasted so long. This new sprayer appears to only be made of plastic & it's too early to tell if this is good or bad in terms of longevity but is is slightly lighter as a consequence & to be fair the major parts such as the container & flexible tubing seem to be as tough as the old ones.overall this new sprayer is easy to use & has no leaks & in all honesty I think that the simpler trigger on it is better long term than the knurled nut/tap system on the old one. I would have given it 5 stars but for the lance being too short by at least 300mm , so you have to make a point of keeping it at arms length whist spraying.Sometimes length matters.

If you get a JCB sprayer instead of the Spear & Jackson one don't open the box and just return it.
One application of the weedkiller following the instructions and a couple of days later the weeds are turning yellow so promising. The pump however....... I got a JCB pump as apparently the packaging had been damaged on the Spear & Jackson ones. The JCB pump is utter rubbish, as soon as you pump the handle a couple of times you can hear it leaking pressure around the handle. I tried tightening things up but no difference so I just stuck with it constantly pumping the thing up until I'd managed to empty the weedkiller on the weeds. I then washed the thing out to have a proper look. On dis-assembling the pump it's obvious that there should be a proper seal/valve on the bottom of the piston but it's been replaced with a simple O-ring which doesn't do the job. Whether this is a change by the manufacturer or whether someone has bought a bunch of reject pumps and tried to make them good - I have my suspicions.

Seems to be doing the trick
Only had this product 6 days so can't really say a lot about the longterm effectiveness. I bought this to use on horsetail weeds (the run of the mill weed killers just don't touch them) which we have always had, but since building houses next door we are inundated, I think the roots have been disturbed. I used it last week on the weeds, I did double the required dose and the sprayed weeds are starting to brown!

Brilliant sprayer and the weed killer works amazingly well
The pump is strong and airtight which means it keeps great pressure and last a good while.I've had a few of these pressure sprayers and this one is by far the best. The weed killer bottle is easy to use and the dosing mechanism is spot on and it did an amazing job of ridding the weeds outside my garden fence and along my paths and driveway. It does kill grass too and it is highlighted on the packaging so just be careful where you spray. The spray head is adjustable though so spraying where you want it to go is easy.

Easy to set up and go
We bought this to use on our paved drive that had perennial weeds and grass around the edges and under the windows. I’ve been pulling up what I can but it’s getting harder as I get older, so I thought let’s try the root blast. It was easy to set up and pumping gave a good spray on the weeds. They take quite a long time to die and I mean there are signs after a week but as time goes on the evidence it is working is more obvious. This is because it’s taking the weed killer down completely to the root, so don’t be tempted to pull them up until there is no sign of life at all. I repeated 2 weeks later to get the weeds that had come up in the meantime. So hopefully it should be a weed free Winter.

Pump sprayer is great!
I think this is great!Made short work of spraying weeds on the stones I have out front, in between paving stones and driveway. It has a handy strap so you can sling the tank over your shoulder, not too heavy when full, then easy to stop and pump the pressure handle as and when needed to continue. You control the flow by pressing on the trigger which is comfortable to hold down throughout.

Great bit of kit.
This is a great bit of kit...I hate gardening so I only have slabs/pavers in front & back of house which get overrun with weeds.I purchased this with a view of getting rid of them & that's what I've done.Empty, this is as light as anything, obviously it's heavy with liquid in but the carry handle helps out there. It's really easy to use, fill it up, pump it up & turn on the spray. 1 filling does about a 4m x 5m space with a good soaking. As to how long it will last, I'm unsure but given that I won't be using it every day, I'd imagine it would last a few years...I'll add to this review if it doesn't.So, it's light-weight, easy to use, covers a decent area before needing a fill & looks like it will last a long time, what's not to like.Definitely recommended.
