I love this thing!
I was pretty excited to get this mini steamer and had to wait a few weeks for shipping - so worth it. For one, it is super cute! I took it work to steam my food for lunch. I now want another one for home. While it is easy to transport back and forth, I take a very crowded bus and leaving it at work is just easy. I load up my lunch in the bowls with the lid. I cannot figure out why my coworkers are not pea green with envy, but I guess they are just addicted to their microwaves. I put in my Ramen noodles, I bring a raw egg (I put it in the measuring cup so it won't break, any veggies, meat or wantons and then easily cook it up. My egg is steamed perfect! Everything so far has been perfect, even the rice. It was a bit pricey, but for the cuteness factor, worth it!

My Observations
I have only used the Itaki a couple times and so far so good. I am disappointed in the "recipe" book that came with it. I was expecting something with a few more things and general instructions on times and amount of water for a range of items to cook. I can see how it would be perfect for leftovers while at work if you don't want to use the microwave. I like it so far but need to use it a bit more for a wider range of food.

What A Fantastic Kitchen tool!
Simply amazing! I work odd shifts at my job and this is an excellent way to prepare my dinner or lunch without the use of a microwave. Simple to use and clean.

does not work
This does not work. I plugged it in, pushed the on button, which lit up for about 20 seconds, then it shut off. The heating element in the unit never got hot, except for the underside which almost burned me.

Great little cooker!
Awesome little device, like a mini rice cooker, really cute design. Steamed veggies perfectly, just be careful handling it, gets really hot. I wish it had a recipe book for inspiration but I still love it
