I live on the Gulf coast and used it on our white sand beaches. It stayed down with the anchors and easy to shake off.

The media could not be loaded. It is super light weight, easy to carry and fold up, can be put it in pocket or clip on backpack.. The material of the mat seems durable and will last a long time, value for the money. The best is sand free and waterproof, the sand can be brush off or shake off quickly with no fuss, used upon wet grass in park is also good enough, the plastic sticks can pin it to the ground, this is really useful in windy day. Very easy to clean, I have washed it in washing machine for several times. Love it.

I’ve seen a lot of blankets/tarps that look like this with reviews of people saying that they went to sit on damp grass and their butt was wet. So I was hesitant buying this, but after my experiment (see images) of putting water on the bathroom countertop and pushing down and seeing if it would get a paper towel wet/damp, I see that it doesn’t!Love that it’s waterproof, priced well, and a good size. Would highly recommend.

I mean, it's fine if you're just trying to not get a grass stain on your tennis whites or have a bunch of leaf detritus stick to your sweaty body. But speaking of sweaty bodies - if you are laying out in a bikini, this thing will basically become a slip n slide... The pictures makes it seem like it's 300 sq. feet when it's basically a doublewidth beach towel in size. Anyway. Handy to stuff in a backpack if you often find yourself in places you wish you had something to flop down and read a book on.

I have carried the blanket with me to the beach for several time, so far I am very pleased with this blanket!Firstly, I was really impressed with how well this blanket keeps the sand off, just shake slightly. Secondly, you don’t need to worry about the wet ground, it is totally water proof and wouldn’t soak through the blanket. Thirdly, edges is double stitched, the loop at corner used to fixed the blanket are my favorite part, it is stitched firmly. Also you can use the 4 pouches in the corners to fill with sand and it keeps it from flying away. Last but not least, it's wonderful that the blanket is so lightweight and compact after being folded. I will keep this in my car for all may beach trip and picnic.

I specifically purchased this for the "sand free" feature. It DOES NOT allow the sand to sift thru. Also, what I really dislike is the fact that the sand STICKS to the underside. No amount of shaking gets it off....It has to be washed off or physically wiped off.Likes: It's super lightweight, folds up super small. It also does not have pouches for storage. This would be good for a grassy surface, etc., but NOT sand.
