Classic Movie
This is one of my all time favourite movies. Jean Reno and a very very young (and super talented) Natalie Portman form an unlikely , but very touching bond due to unfortunate circumstances. Superbly acted. If I’m honest, I cannot really say what scenes differentiate this Director’s Cut edition from the original release.

Its a hit, man
Ageing well, story of a reculse in a troubled neighbourhood. Chemistry between Leon and Matilda is electric. Gary,s phychotic cop is as creepy as he is derranged. Now drink your milk and enjoy.

Gary Gold man,
This has to be the earliest I remember Gary Oldman, since then Ive never missed any of his movies and will watch any that he's in.He plays baddies like no other.Like the iconic doc smith in lost in space. Or the breathtakingly evil, general Zorg in the fifth element.Leon is one of his classic characters in my humble opinion.

It was brilliant in 1984 and still is.
I had not seen this since 1985 and then purchased the directors cut in 2024 and watched again.Unlike a lot of old movies that when you go back to they disappoint this does not. It was an excellent watch in 1985 and still is.One of Luc Besson's best.
