Its a real struggle to get it on a 1 1/2 inch Hayward fitting. May try to heat it.

This is exactly what you need if you need a short cupling
I only purchased this item to use with an inline vacuum hose filter, also sold on Amazon. The filter was engineered incorrectly on the fitting sizes, rendering this hose useless. I am sure the hose is perfect for someone needing a short coupling, but I did not need it once the inline filter was returned.

Replacement hose for pool
The hose itself seems pretty high quality...made well and fits like a glove. Seems to be thicker than standard hoses so that's a nice bonus..it should last linger than the original

Thicker than most hoses
Much thicker and higher quality than the standard hoses I can buy locally. I've been running this on my pool for 4 days now and everything is working well.
