Great rugged phones
I bought one of these phones about a year ago. I need a rugged phone for work. I became sick of buying a 500+ dollar phone only to have the screen shatter within a few months and pay almost as much for just a glass/screen repair. These phones are extremely tough. So much so I bought my wife one recently. IDK how she does it but every other "rugged" phone I have given her she has broke fairly quickly. She has had this one for several months now and it's still in perfect condition. I am in the process of saving up for their phone with a FLIR camera. How awesome is that? A super rugged phone that has heat vision? AND for only like 550$. I can't wait to get it.

Slow, and the charging port broke within 3 months
I gave this phone a lot of leeway beacause of the low price. I tolerated the repeated app crashes and slow loading times, as it does not truly work with ATT. However, there is abolutely no excuse for a charging port to break within 3 months. I have had takeout food containers last longer than that. Repair shipping is on your dime despite the warranty. I would not recommend the BV5500 to anyone in the US.

Pretty nice, no pre-installed crap
Seller asked me (all customers who write in for a warranty) to write a review in exchange for money (did not specifically request it be positive, but also wanted a screenshot before they got money). Declined, and this is dishonorable practice.Overall a pretty good phone, especially for the value. Very nice physically, lets you use a microsd, runs a modern version of Android close to vanilla with no malware I noticed or spam. Definitely a little thick and bulky compared to most modern stuff, I don't care. One note--It can do two SIMs OR one SIM and one microsd card--not both. One of the two slots holds SIM, the other can hold either SIM or microsd. Battery life is not quite as good as expected, but I have a hard time selling if that's hardware or software, don't blame the phone just yet! It's easy to unlock the bootloader (just toggle an option in settings), but I haven't actually succeeded at booting vanilla Android (GSI), even though it's supposed to be a fully treble-compliant device.

Don't try this first if you can afford one of their more expensive offerings
I'd never heard of Blackview before. What I did know that I find myself in environments hostile to electronics, and I wanted to consolidate my work phone (T-Mobile B66) and personal phone (AT&T B2) phones into one. A little over $100 seemed like a fair price for a trial.I expected it to be bulky and slow. It is a ruggedized phone with an oversized battery after all, and the specs aren't great by modern standards. It's actually a lot more svelte than it looks. It's slightly thinner than my old Galaxy S10+ in a case. The screen protector that came with it is good enough that I still haven't put on the tempered glass ones I ordered. It can definitely handle missing my pouch and bouncing down a flight of concrete stairs as well.Regarding performance; It's actually better than expected. Not overwhelmingly so, but it can do reasonably well playing Golf Rival or War Robots, and is just fine for the majority of work apps. The closest thing I have to a complaint is onboard storage, can't expand it when using dual SIMs, and I filled it up. Again though, that was kind of expected.Great value

Good but flawed
Solid piece of hardware, waterproof as claimed, not too heavy. Some issues: 1) the USB charging port cover is a chore to open and close, and connected to the main cover by the tiniest bit of rubber; my guess: it will break soon enough; 2) battery life is mediocre despite the phone being rather heavy; 3) some junk must be running in the background, because the android OS struggles with even simple tasks. Maybe it's chinesium spyware, maybe it's poor engineering, maybe it's both. Either way, not bad, but not good either. There are better options out there.

It stands up to what they say.
Loving this phone. I have Cricket(at&t) and it sycd right up with my Google account and is all good. I destroy phones and this one has home through some things in the 10 days I've had it. It spent 4 hours in a sink at work with me not knowing it was there (I'm a bartender) and it was great after. Little water under the screen protector but it functioned like normal. Also have dropped it many times and nothing has happened.End story is it's a great phone and can take a hit but the battery is just normal. I'll take that trade.

Not as advertised
AS of today and the last hour I am not impressed with this device. I usually buy the BLU unlocked phones and have never had an issue with them that I did not create myself such as broken screens and the battery charger port going bad after several years,I however saw this nice rugged phone that had advertised all the features that I needed. I use straight talk and with my BLU phone i always got 4G/4GLTE connection. This phone was supposed to support the same. I put my sim card in and I am only getting 3G period. It is ATT, but only 3G. I am not at all happy. I will be calling straight talk to see if its maybe a setting, but at this point I am not a happy customer. Also its supposed to have a great battery, well I have only had 20 minutes of screen usage since last full charge (It came on Friday and put it on the charger then went out of town until today it charged well before I picked it up to use) and I am already down to 80%. All i have done is took one phone call and set it up, played no games downloaded no apps etc... Most definitely not as advertised. I have no complaints about durability it feels nice and durable, and it came with a screen protector already attached and an extra one. Since its not giving 4G as advertised I am giving it a low value for money rating. If straight talk can assist me with my 4G I will return and edit this review, but at this time call me an unsatisfied customer.
