SeaLife Pro Flash
I have in the past borrowed a friend's Sealife flash. I finally decided to purchase my own after having great success and improvement with my photos. The housing is well made and holds a water tight seal quite well. I'ev just returned from a week on the Aqua Cat... doing 25 dives in all. I used the heck out of the flash and can report that the flash worked great. SeaLife is a quality name and offers a quality product. I coupled this with the diffuser with great success.I would recommend this to any diver looking to augment their DC series underwater camera.

Pieace of crap
Piece of junk, I purchased for my Philippine dive trip along with a dc sealife 1400 camera and both flooded first dive. The waterproof latch is not waterproof. I followed instruction manual to the letter. It say use no silicone grease and my dive guide told me this will flood no matter he had seen this product many times flood. The camera flooded at 11 1/2 feet. They want me to send to sealife but do not want anymore of their products. They will replace once then after that you have no money and a paper weight. BEWARE

Hard to use it
I was never able to figure it out. I have Olympus camera and this strobe only flashes at P setting. I use my camera on underwater settings, but then this strobe does not work. I tried in over 50 dives and concluded that my camera just takes great pictures without this strobe.

Reefmaster Underwater Flash
A nice little flash to go with your underwater digital camera. A bit basic, but fine for a first timer. More money will buy you more features with another flash, but this is fine for the money. comes with a mount and a nice case.

Very good flash
It is a very good flash, now I can record the beauty of the sea life with color. Only one problem, in my second dive the bolt conection between the base and the articulated arm lose; it seems it was not tight enought. Problem solve with a good tighting torque.

Nothing Professional about the 'Pro' Units
If I could give these a zero - I would... Not once, but twice, I have had these strobes flood (both at 100' plus). And when they flood, it is a total write-off as there is no separation between the battery compartment and the rest of the unit. I was fortunate, in that Sealife did replace the first unit that flooded, but the second was all my cost to replace. And now, after 2 years in very careful storage, (sealed ziplocks with 4 fresh silca gel packets in with the units), as soon as I powered them up, both strobes failed within minutes of each other. The first with a rather spectacular melt-down in the battery compartment, and the second with a wiff of smoke. Out of curiosity I took them apart afterwards, and found both circuit boards severely corroded. No doubt, the result of having no separation between the battery compartment and the rest of the unit. Needless to say, there is nothing 'professional' about these 'Pro' strobes. Go buy a Sea&Sea YS-03 or an Ultramax UXDS-3 - both have sealed battery compartments.
