I've never used real "tongs" per se; I don't grill or cook much. I finally got to use these a week ago frying bacon on top the stove. It took a couple-three minutes to get used to the "feel" of an extension of my fingers but Boy, Howdy! Are these nice! I absolutely love them. Love the silicone, love the design.....just flat out love them! I will definitely recommend your product to anyone who will listen that doesn't want to pick up hot metal tongs sans silicone & gets burned, & wants tongs that not only fold flat but lock that way in the drawer. I never even got to use these tongs! I washed them on the top rack of my dishwasher. When I went to store the large set in the locked position, they would not stay shut. When I compared them to the small set, (which is fine ), I discovered a broken pin. There is a metal pin that runs through the spring in the handle end that also holds the locking mechanism in place. It appears that one end of the pin is either sheared off or a small weld has failed. Part of this metal pin is actually missing. I always select 4 stars and up when I am shopping for kitchen gadgets and this set had great reviews. Maybe it is just a fluke, but I will try a different brand when I replace them.

These are the real deal. I've had them about 2 months and they are now the only tongs I use. Thought all tongs were the same but I was wrong. These are the best.

I got these at a discount for my honest review. I absolutely love these tongs. I got them delivered today, washed them and used them to make lunch. They are nicely made, non-slip grip, they work really well and they lock so they don't take up much room in your drawer. You can use them for grilling, veggies, tossing salad etc. These are my new go to utensil. They would make for a really nice gift also. Definetly worth the money in my opinion. I will be buying another set.
