Go to boots...
I have worn Nocona size 11 D for about 30 years. Probably four pairs. Always the same deal. Snug at first, especially in the width. Wear them around in limited doses with thin socks. Break them in. Eventually they mold to your foot and they become your favorite shoes. The quality seems consistent over the years. If you understand the break in process on boots like this, you'll ultimately be satisfied. Cedar trees are highly recommend for storage. They will help immensely with the durability and shape of the boots

Nice boot, but run small...
The boots look nice and are well constructed. I wear an 11.5D in every other boot I own, but the fit runs much smaller in these. Based on the softness of the leather and reviews saying they broke in quickly, I wanted to give them a chance. I have worn them all day on four occasions and they haven't broken in for me. Dumb move on my part being the return policy doesn't allow for trying out a boot for a few days. Now I am stuck with a boot I probably won't be able to wear. My advice: If you normally wear an 11.5D and have to squeeze into these, think twice about trying to break them in.UPDATE: I updated my rating to 4 stars. I couldn't afford to have my boots professionally stretched and struggle to trust home methods being these have a shiny finish, but then I had a moment of clarity and decided to wear a pair of no-show socks over my boot socks for a few hours. The boots aren't a perfect fit yet, but they definitely feel much better and will only improve with continued wear. My conscience feels better too being I can now say I didn't throw my money away.

Good boot for price and quality
I have typically gone with a wider boot, mostly because I can and they seem to be the ones on sale. This time I chose a regular fit. They fit fine but the ankle area seems a little stiff and taking time to break in (with the help of band-aid padding). I stand for 8 hours when wearing them and they are average comfort. They seem to be all leather except the heel. Good boot for the quality and price. I found nothing under $250 that was 100% leather; in this style of boot.I rubbed them down with mink oil when I first got them and let them sit for a couple days, just to penetrate the leather, and then wiped them dry before wearing them.

Junk. Not for everyday usage.
After minimal wear the soul is already coming apart. Purchased on March 6 but only worn a handful of times until the last two months. These were worn daily for the last two months. I am sure they would have lasted for years if I would have only just kept them in the closet instead of putting them on my feet. Very disappointed and will not purchase this brand ever again.Update. I was contacted by Nocona within an hour of my post. Once this is resolved I will post an update.

Awesome boots!!!
I love Nocona boots!!! Sure, you can spend a lot of money on western boots if you want to, but if you want a high quality boot that is affordable give Nocona a try. These are made in Mexico, but Nocona also makes some boots in the US. These boots are of comparable quality to those made here in the US- I was told that they are only assembled in Mexico, and that all of the materials come from the US- not sure of how to confirm that, or if it even matters to be honest...

just like Tony Lama
Even though they abandonded their roots in Nocona, were taken over by Justin Industries along with Tony Lama, are now part of Berkshire Hathaway, and offer very little in round-toe, these are still premium boots, just like Tony Lama.I live in Nocona, Tony Lama, and Justin boots, have too many to count (dress and work), and I highly recommend them!

Good boot for dancing. Leather soles.
Leather Western boot are designed to be snug. They're supposed to "pop" on at the heels. Properly sized, these do. One was slightly snug width wise but, from experience, I know they will stretch with a little usage.

The leather is very thin for a Nocona boot. Maybe by design. Maybe a fluke.
Disappointed by this purchase. Yes, the fit is very comfortable right out of the gate. I wear boots nearly every day. I don't think these would last a month, less if worn anywhere other than pavement. The leather is very thin.
