Shotloc Basketball Training Tool

Bought it for myself. If JJ Reddick is using it you'd better believe there's something to it. Worked with it for a few weeks in solitude early mornings at my local rec, and without question the next time I played pick-up my shot felt better, looked better, and was dropping more frequently.Gave it to my 14 year old brother as he has more use for it being on his JV basketball team trying to make Varsity next year. He goes to boarding school so I haven't gotten a chance to see how well it's working but he tells me he's using it every day and last week my mother told me in their most recent game their best player fouled out with the team down 2 and 30 seconds to go; the coach drew up a play for my brother, and he drained a game-winning 3-pointer. Haven't had a chance to talk to him about it yet, but I'd be willing to bet this thing is improving his confidence and his competence.Only complaint is the price, but if you're trying to take your jump-shot from 'decent' to 'perfect', I guarantee this product will help you make strides. Highly recommended.

I just received this Shotloc about 1 day again and I have already put in about 500 + shots w/ it. It does take some time to get used to but it does what it says. It keeps the ball of the palm and your fingers spread. With the fingers being spread, it makes you want to flick your wrist to get that nice rotation. After an hour of usage, I can say this has changed my shot a bit. But not much, I will update this once I get some more time w/ this product.

I only used it for one day so far. For about 5 hours of basketball. My friends notice this thing on my hand and i told them about it. We were skeptical but as we were playing, they and I was noticing that i was able to hit so many more shots in then I usually do. I got a adult large sz 7. I think i have average size hands, 5'8, and 170lbs. I have a 9.5 ring size. If that helps. This product is sturdy but Im still very careful when I take it off after a game, just to be safe. its comfortable, after awhile you dont really notice it on. The ball stays on your fingers the entire time and off your palm. Im surprised that it works so well. I dont notice it getting in the way when im handling the ball, might has a slight effect but I didnt notice.

First and foremost this is a great product with a few caveats. This product will def help you develop a sound form for your shot and help you consistently use that form. It forces you to to shoot correctly and keep your palm off the ball and follow through with your finger tips. Now here we go. First is your fingers are thick then shotloc will probably cut off your circulation. Its ok to have on for the first 20 min of so but after that you'll feel you fingers go cold. Secondly, this is for everyone, be carefully pull or taking off because the material is so delicate it'll rip apart. be carefull. you cant just pop it off. otherwise the idea behind this product is very sound.

Received the Shotloc. All three of my boys have tried this and love it. The sizing is really hard to figure out - that would be my only real complaint. I ordered two one 7 one 5 (med and large?). The large is good for teenage boys average height and weight. If you have a larger teenager, I would go with a size larger than 7. The size 5 is good for middles schoolers or kids still a little small. I'm going to have to order another one of these that is size 7. Fortunately two of my boys (15 & 19) can use this size. The 16 year old is 5' 6" and pretty small and the size 5 fits him - barely.

Still early for a review but in the last three practices, my daughter actually notices a difference when shooting the ball. She is more aware of spreading her fingers and not palming the ball when shooting. She said it felt funny when dribbling but now she dribbles during practice just fine with the Shotloc. I will recommend it based on the relative inexpensive cost to improve shooting technique.

Sure - this isn't going to immediately enhance your shot - but this is a great start. It helps you focus on proper form with your hand, and you eventually get use to shooting with it on. It has helped me with my shooting percentage, but I have not recorded anything to track my progress.Use the chart found on this pdf from their site: [...]This will help you get the right size. For reference, I am 5-11, 180 pounds, muscular guy (thicker fingers) so I am using the X-Large. It fits like a glove. Make sure to check out the size before you buy!Overall, great product - and I am happy to add this to my training arsenal!

Ordered on the 7/26/12 and received on 7/30/12. super fast shipping. Look great and feels.... well, it took some getting used to, but that's the point. It's there to put your fingers and hands in the correct position. Fingers spread and palm off the ball. I found myself using it so much that two days ago, almost a month later, I ordered another. One for each hand. Helps with dribbling as well as shooting. Even comes with instructions and a chart.Question is now, do I tell others I play basketball with about it, or let them find out on their own? Well, maybe my teammates ;)
