These ear plugs happen to work better for me personally. Normal ear plugs feel uncomfortable in my ears. These particular plugs from 3M block the loudest noise and still allows conversation yet are comfortable in my ears.

Use these all the time in my woodshop. The protection isn't as good as over-the-ear style but they're much easier to slip on and off.

Kinda wish they could wrap around the backside of my head. I like that the plugs don't go into my ear canal.

comfortable and effective

An excellent ear plug, I work on a 8 ton press all day, they fit snug and stops most of the loud drone of the machine. I tried the Howard Leight QB2HYG-1 Quiet Band and it was too hard to get them to fit in my ear correctly to stop the noise. I finally got sick of spending over 10 minutes of adjusting them to fit right and switched to the 3M 320-2101. Also ordered Howard QB3HYG but I opened the package, touched the left pad to see how soft it was and it broke off at the post in my hand. If your looking for a good fitting ear plug that stays in place, banded and blocks the noise...start with this one.

Ok for the price, but not for tools, saws. They reduce higher sounds, not much else.

It does not work as described - NO 17db hearing protection at all. Does not change the length - does not fit.
