Great sub
This product is exactly what I was looking for. It is compact yet extremely powerful. The bass is tight and clear and fills the room perfectly when coupled with my 100W subwoofer amplifier. Couldn't have made a better choice. This replaced an 18" subwoofer I had and this bass is deeper and more solid by far.

not dual voice coils as advertised
Folks, this is a durable, heavy, good PASSIVE subwoofer so as many of you know you need to use speaker B or some other amplified outputs from your home stereo (or a separate amp). I knew this and is what I wanted, but my biggest gripe is it is only a single voice coil unit so unless your amp allows bridging between left and right channels without mono-izing your main channels it may not be suitable for you unless you get two and use one for each channel. Unfortunately the third party vendor did not echo Amazon's liberal return policy, and I kept it anyway as the shipping cost was substantial.3M

Incredible value
The sound quality for the money is amazing. I replaced my Home Theater In a Box (HTIB) subwoofer with this one because it doesn't have a built in amplifier. The stock receiver is rated at 200 watts peak and I feel like this sub performs approximately one million times better. I am now seriously considering swapping out the front speakers with the same type.

false spec info
The specs here on amazon, as well as every other site I could find info about it all say that it's frequency response goes as low as 23hz. This was the sole reason I decided to purchase this sub-woofer. Unfortunately when i received it, written right there on the box was "30hz". I spent money on a sub-woofer that does exactly what my previous one did. Sooooo disappointing. It works fine, its just that I wanted an upgrade and I ended up in the same boat(with a lighter wallet). Please just fix the spec info so that nobody else has to get duped.

bought this to replace the sub woofer the came with ZHX 313 home theater in a box about 11 years ago! WOW what a difference a better sub W. does to the whole system! got this with free shipping!! BEST thing I bought !! now at 50 pounds you better have some thing to put it on to carry!! NOW IT COST 40 DOLLARS GREAT DEAL!!! BUT IT WILL COST ABOUT 35 DOLLARS TO SHIP!!! but still is a great deal because all I saw was just speakers with no enclosure for more than this!!! so I am very happy with this item !! My wife said it is to big until she plugged in her ipod !! WOW my 14 year old son is DUB-STEP HAPPY!!!!
