I bought these placemats to protect my wood floors. I have a parakeet that likes to sit on window perches for hours and therefore leaves behind little bird droppings. These are CRYSTAL clear. They are soft and quite flexible. I cannot speak for the heat aspect/qualities. They have a high sheen. Very glossy when the sun hits. For me a dull sheen would have been preferred, but overall I am pleased. I did not find them too thin as others described. (But I guess that is their opinion and usage) They arrived FLAT not rolled. If you needed to cut them, I feel they would be very easy to cut with just a common house scissor.

I bought these to put under my very messy young children place at the dinner table. It makes clean up much easier. The place mats can withstand the hot dishwasher cycle without any problems. It has maintained its shape. I am impressed. makes this Mommas life a little easier during meal times.

Place mats were what I expected for the price. These plastic ones go under existing bamboo placemats for my roomies kids since the crumbs fall through the bamboo ones onto tablecloth, now crumbs will fall on plastic placemats vs the tablecloth. Easy cleanup.

These mats are larger than the placemats I’ve had before. They cover a good bit of the area. I love that they are clear so they keep the aesthetic of the wooden table.
