Look for something else...☹️
It's a nice-looking item, and it's reasonably priced but, it doesn't do the job!!!I like the sleep mode so that the light is off, yet still operating, and I like that I can fill this humidifier from the top. However, those are the only two good things about this item.Right now, I'm on my 2nd Homasy humidifier, after the first one proved defective. I purchased the first one before the holidays but didn't get a chance to set it up and use it till about 3 weeks ago. All that one did was spew out water and the water, in turn, pooled on the top of the humidifier. Humidity levels never made 30% in the room! So, I contacted Amazon, explained the situation, and they sent me a replacement (Amazon, thank you so much!)Now, for the past week, I've been working with this replacement humidifier. The good news - no pooling of water on the top of the humidifier. The bad news - it's NOT humidifying my 270 square foot (15 ft by 18 ft) room! For the past 3 days, the humidity levels, once again, never got to 30% - as a matter of fact, the highest humidity level that was reached in this room was 26%, and this level was reached with the humidifier set on high, ceiling fan on the low setting, and the room door nearly closed. I had/have this product on a 2-1/4 foot tray table that's covered with plastic in case this (or any humidifier) decides to leak. Both the table and the humidifier are placed in the middle of the room. So, with all this, the room still has no humidity! Supposedly, this product was to be able to humidify a room up to 300 square feet...hmm...I don't think so! See photo - this shows my personal humidistat with the room's current humidity level AFTER letting the humidifier run for over 3 days, nearly non-stop!By the way, normally, I NEVER have my ceiling fan on during the winter months so, for me to have to do this and all the other things, indicates that this isn't a good product. After all this, I definitely can't recommend this product. Now, I'll be contacting Amazon again to see if I can send this product back and look for a humidifier from another manufacturer - one that actually humidifies a large room without me having to do all these extra things to make the product work!!! Very disappointed.

I thought everyone had this problem
I bought this product based on my co-worker's reviews on how it's a humidifier AND an oil diffuser in one.I bought it and used it briefly but stopped because even on the lowest setting, there was so much water that came out through the spout... All around the lid and also on the floor.I couldn't use it anymore because I didn't want to get the carpet wet where I have the humidifier... Wet carpet can lead to moldy smells.I really wanted to like this product but it seems like I got a defective one b/c I spoke with same co-worker about this issue and she said she never had that problem... even when she had hers on the strongest setting.

Much more diffuser than humidifier
As a diffuser, it would probably be perfect, but I’m really not sure it’s doing anything as a humidifier. I bought it more to use as a humidifier so it’s cool seeing all the vapor but it doesn’t seem to do much other than create that since mine isn’t currently scented until I figure out which oil won’t harm my cat. My cat’s fur is still staticky and I still have dry skin, so maybe it’s helping but not noticeably. That said, I use it every night anyway just in case because the air is so dry and it seems to operate totally fine for what it is. I would like to sleep with the color light on but the light letting you know what mode it’s on is a bright white light that keeps me up unless it’s on sleep mode so I do ultimately use that. Cleaning is a little tricky but I’ll admit I’ve always had trouble cleaning diffusers and I’ve never owned my own humidifier before so I’m not sure if it’s more or less tricky than any other.

A must for sickness!
The Homasy Humidifier holds a large amount of water. It began to steam as soon as it was turned on nicely! Unfortunately there isn't any type of fan or blower so the steam goes 'up' and settles back 'down' around the unit rather than spread out far into the room. It didn't leave moisture on the surfaces because it is a very fine mist. I put essential oils in the water and use the humidifier to help with breathing problems and colds. The steam is best on the high level and a little less at low. At the night level the steam is very low and the control light goes off allowing you to sleep better. The colored lights are pretty and run at the high & low settings only.Overall this humidifier is great (other than not expelling the mist far and wide) and I definitely like my purchase.

Exactly what I was looking for!
One of my biggest problems was finding a humidifier that did not have an indicator light- I like to sleep in complete darkness, so even a tiny light would bother me. The sleep mode is perfect for this!I love that there is a big water tank for this machine. I filled it up to the maximum level with water at 8pm at night, left it on, and forgot about it. It is silent as well! The next night at 8pm, I remembered to check on it and was surprised to see that there was still water left in the tank and it was still releasing steam, 24 hours later.Overall, this is an extremely easy to use, very good quality, and has met every one of my needs.

Good diffuser. Useless humidifier.
Loved the idea of a diffuser and humidifier in one. Unfortunately, the humidifier did nothing for our space. We have a slightly larger bedroom but I don’t know how it would work in any room... like other reviews have said, it doesn’t shoot the mist high enough to actually disperse through the air, it drops right back down to the surface the humidifier is sitting one (hence the towel under it). I put some oils in it and the room smelled great, but not worth ruining any surface it sits on to use it just as a diffuser.
