Too many times I've scavenged the local area or asked nearby people for spare boxes when the time came to get to packing. Too many times the boxes that I received were either too small or too flimsy or some combination of the two.Those days ended, however, with the purchase of these boxes from Amazon. I purchased them while moving out after my sophomore year at college, and they were absolutely splendid to work with. Hilariously these boxes came packaged in an even bigger box. For starters, they were far bigger than I imagined them to be. By the end I had only used four of the six boxes due to their insane capacity--and ended up giving the rest of the boxes to friends who needed them.They aren't joking at all when they call these "heavy duty" as the cardboard is far thicker than most boxes I see. I used Gorilla tape to close and reinforce them, which allowed for an even more solid build.My only complaint is their price. They are very expensive compared to most boxes and definitely hit the wallet harder than I would like. That said, I'm not going to deduct a star because they really are some of the (if not the) highest quality boxes that I have ever used. I can count on them for keeping my belongings protected.Summary:+ Very spacious+ Very heavy duty-- Very expensive!

Dish barrel boxes are the best for fragile ceramics, glass, dishes, and other more fragile items - as well as pots, pans, etc. I was so pleasantly surprised that these boxes were completely encased in heavy duty plastic, and even though they were delivered on a day when it was literally pouring outside, they were "high and dry," despite the weather. I had never ordered moving boxes online before, but this experience may have changed my willingness to do so. The boxes are excellent - very sturdy, and a must for a breakage-free move. They were also delivered earlier by about 5 days than I had anticipated - another real plus.

These were good quality boxes and the best I could find considering quality/quantity and cost! However, the flaps overlap. Not too big a deal; but since I was stacking these in a moveable storage cube, I needed them to be sturdy. I was able to cut about an inch off the overlapping flap and it worked out just fine. Only needed to do one flap on the top and one on the bottom. Honestly I'd rather deal with overlapping than shoddy quality, and these were nice thick, sturdy boxes. Would order again, definitely worth it.

I’ve moved over 50 times and these dish barrels are the worst boxes I’ve ever seen. As shown in photos they were not evenly cut so that the flaps fit together. Initially I thought it was just the ones exposed to shipping wear and tear. Not so-all are “irregular “! DO NOT BUY THESE BOXES. Obviously with the packing timeline and the sheer effort involved in returning- doing a return was not feasible or even possible by me as a senior moving to an ADA apartment. So we taped and taped and pray they will hold up. I’m starting to suspect vendors are intentionally selling irregular products on Amazon.

This was the perfect size to ship my 15" western show saddle! The boxes arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to assemble. Once I placed the saddle in the box, I still had enough room to place packing paper and bubble wrap around it! I really like that the box has "Fragile, Handle with care/This side up" on it! I feel that the shipping company pays a bit more attention to how the box is handled! I highly recommend these boxes!

We knew we needed these to prepare for our upcoming move, so ordered them in Feb, extracted one for initial packing, and put the rest in a closet, still in their original packaging, as we didn't need them til later. So now later has come, and when I pulled them out to start packing, three of the remaining four had ripped sections and big holes in them. Interestingly enough the two on the outsides of the shipment were fine, it was the three in the middle that were bad. Thes holes were the sections that were folded over so can't be seen unless you pull out the box to assemble. really makes me wonder if the problems were deliberately hidden. Can't use for fragile dished that's for sure. Can't really use to pack anything unless you want it exposed for big sections. Return window has closed, so can't get any money back. Advice is either don't order these or open the package immediately and check to make sure they are usable. Clearly some QC problems here. We'll be going to our moving company to get more, won't trust amazon on this one again.

The boxes are heavy duty and will do, but the flaps overlap and there is minor damage to one side of each box.
